This is a task that I could reasonably do on my own, but would like to try and delegate it out so it takes less time from my coding. Onlink 0.2.0 has a new item for the gateway: SATA II. The SATA II is basically a hardware upgrade that wouldn't otherwise fit in anything else (cooling systems will be introduced later and are not considered a SATA II device). As an example, there will be a Satellite Uplink, which will allow you to double your bandwidth when you use a satellite modem. This is just one example. I plan to add more later (once players start becoming vulnerable to attack, I'll add a hardware disconnect switch, for example). For this task to be considered finished in my book, I need new gateway images to show empty slots for these things. If anyone would like to give it a shot, that would be awesome. Hardware upgrades are 32x32px. You can download the current gateway images here or just extract data.dat and check graphics/gateway/ for the original tif files. Oh, and, it's probably a good idea to have only the "KRONOS Corp 80-860 Gateway" and more advanced to have slots for such things. If anyone's interested in doing this, I would really appreciate it. Hell, I might even release periodic alphas for such a person... <hint> |
