We're making significant progress with getting a stable Onlink tree. We're working on getting it building without problems on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux before we add any modifications. So far, looks promising. We had some issues on Mac with music not working and it being horrendously slow, but those problems have been resolved, and we're much closer. We'll have a stable tree hopefully within a week, and we'll post a supplemental v1.61 patch to verify that the build works on all platforms. That will be the sole purpose of v1.61 -- just platform compatibility. The next version will be the first real Onlink build.

While you're testing v1.61, we'll be making progress on getting the Onlink v0.1 on the way. We'll have some patches put in, but we'll be sure to test each thoroughly before we make any releases.

Just wanted to give everyone a status report about Onlink. We're not dead, and we're working harder than ever.

I don't really care about multi-platform, I just use windows, but i guess it would be easier to be able to run 1 build on all platforms.

Nice, faster and multi-platform is awesome. I hate when games are only for Windows (most games are like this), or only for Linux. (AKA Blob Wars)

Thanks for working hard peoples! :D

Actually, can anyone tell me where I can get a release of the Mac version? This, http://forums.introversion.co.uk/uplink ... hp?t=32751, was kind of discouraging.

We will work on talking with Ambrosia about it, but hopes are kind of low. We'll maintain the Mac branch though, so that whenever we get Ambrosia to agree, we'll release it. For now, it will be Linux and Windows only, and the former only if requested (not sure how many people want a Linux build).

Well, I -was- planning an OS X release, but Miah reminded me that Ambrosia would reave our souls for it.
