Okay, so here's something something that would make Copy Database missions easier: Remote copy.

Software that you copy on to the target file server, open the console and run.

    usr:>run RemoteCopy
    Target IP: 224.123.664.1
    Username: jdaniels
    Password: robbins
    Filter string: *rsch*
    Start copy (Y/N)? y

All that info, you can get from the mission briefing email. Then it copies the files across:
    Quote:
    Copying dar-rsch-01.dat to 224.123.664.1
    Copying dar-rsch-02.dat to 224.123.664.1
    Copying dar-rsch-03.dat to 224.123.664.1
    Copying dar-rsch-04.dat to 224.123.664.1
    Copying dar-rsch-05.dat to 224.123.664.1
Higher versions = faster transfer speed.

The console needs some improvements to do this, but it needs some improvements anyway. The console should really be used for more, in later Onlink versions...

Why not? Having a console on your own gateway would be an advantage anyway.

I think that Onlink needs to start making more use of the console. Most of the game is mouse-only.

In 0.1.3, there will be a system to locally build your very own programs. This will in itself be a console-esque interface.

And yes, the console really needs work. I fully agree. There is where I will start.

    I seem to remember a C++ client...

But what about a mass remote copier? Will you be able to build programs like that?
