| Post subject: | Buying Stocks |
Two main things that i think should be implemented: 1) Buying more than one stock at a time. First of all, they should be MUCH more expensive. Second... Button for ten stocks, a hundred, a thousand... 2) Limit them. There is no unlimited quantity of stocks. Well, perhaps this has already been implemented (perhaps its there since the beginning) but i've never had the patience to buy one stock at a time. When a company begins selling it's stocks, it divides itself in a certain quantity of stocks. For instance, if a company is worth 1000 dollars, and they released 500 stocks, each stock would cost you 2 dollars. That number of stocks cant ever increase. The only thing that can be done is divide the each stock again. So, if i've bought 5 stocks of that same company, i could sell 10 stocks at 1 dollar each. When someone buys half + 1 of the company's net worth, the he owns it. He decides. If there are 4 people in the world with all the stocks of a certain company, then they must make an agreement on each topic. Besides, having a companys stock means you will earn money as they do, and lose it the same way. It depends on how much of the company do you own. I know it's unlikely to see onlink with a stock market working as the real thing, but i sure would like it if it was a little bit more realistic. At least earning money as the company grows and losing it as the company stock prices drop. And to avoid metagame, arunmor shouldn't sell it's stocks. |

Technically, since both Arunmor and ARC are companies in-game, they should. I mean, heck, even when you "win" the game (ie., save the Internets), Arunmor's stocks don't shoot up by a bajillion dollars. -- Griffinhart |

They shoot up significantly. Everytime I've played on the side of Arunmor they have. |

Well, i've seen then reach 60, but not that more... and if revelation made some havoc, they should go much higher... besides, i THINK they already start high EDIT: Forgot the big point. They don't HAVE to sell their stock. They should only if they want to. Mmmmh... perhaps a welcome screen with the newest companys selling stocks? |

i dont know whats that... but also a "take XX company to bankrupcy" I really think that giving a little more attention to the stock market would improve the game. |
