It would be nice, if there were an option for scalable font settings. I have an 19" crt monitor, which can provide a resolution of 1280x1024@100, but the fonts are unreadable at this mode. It would be enough, if I have an option for "large font" or "small font".

Regards

The fonts are readable on my 17 inch CRT at 1400x1050

I wonder that you can set the resolution IN up/onlink to this value, because this resolution setting does not exist in the configuration. May you meant the windows resolution which is a complete different setting. In up/onlink you can set your resolution to another value than windows.

If your monitor/GP supports the resolution it will show up.

Well, my monitor seems not to support this. On my opinion the fonts are very small, see by your self:

It is just a usability request... Not so important. But I think it is not so hard to implement, most controls should render different font sizes on the fly. I think so, because sometimes text is wrapped after drawing it on the control.

If you can't read the fonts... why not use a smaller resolution? 1152x864 or whatever is a happy medium between 1024x768 and 1280x1024.

Yeh, you have an CRT monitor, so that shouldn't be a problem. Though, I think a larger font option would be useful.

I run 1280x1024 on a flatscreen/LCD monitor, and the text is perfectly readable. It could be larger, but that would just cut off more text, IMO.

My gripe is that the mouse wheel doesn't work, but I hink that's been everyone's gripe since the game was made.

Omg, yes! Mouse-Wheel would be very nice. But hey, if the game were perfect, why there should exist onlink-mod.net? ^^

I run Onlink at 1920x1200 on a 24" LCD monitor and have no problems. I used to run it at 1600x1200 on a 17" CRT and there were no problems there either.

Issue i have with Moniter rez in Uplink, is i can never find one with enough space without having to suffer the small font.

Currently i need new glasses and it's not fun to put my face 2" from the moniter to read anything these days.

I been using EyeQ to try get some visual improvement but i think it will do more dmg then good due to hayfever. :( eyes really suffer during this season.

Yes PLEASE could you add bigger fonts? $)
(Сhoice is possible at the 'Graphics' Options screen.)
I play 800*600, where font 6pt looks OK, but for 1024*768 I'd prefer 8 pt.
Thanx!

You can increase DPI in windows graphics settings.

I don't believe, that the windows dpi settings will affect the fonts in the game. I have 120dpi and it's as small as seen in the screenshot I have posted above.
