it would be nice to have to hack lotsa servers to get some soft... like adding another plot, this one involving yourself becoming a hacker... someone gives you some mission and you don't have the soft needed, neither it's on sale at uplink... what do you do? luckily there's ANOTHER software selling server but... wait... it doesn't have the (ex.) VDPIN either... so you either hack the server of the company who developed it, or you hack the pc of some hacker you know has it, or you get lucky and find it in some server related in some way to the plot.



so the idea is:
1) Having another company like uplink, that also sells soft...
2) Having the soft creator's server around somewhere in the world... and having to crack it to get the soft
3) The possibility to crack hacker's pc's... (I know this has been talked about alot...) and getting the soft from there
4) adding another plot in wich tou develop as a hacker



any thoughts?

Good idea, seems logical.

I see where your going, but how are you going to find out what hacker has what software? The only way i can think of is finding logs about someone downloading the file you need from a server and then deleting the file. This doesn't make sense however, since there will always be a hardcopy of the software, so within hours the software would be back on the server and you could just steal it again. This idea needs some work.

I really like this, but i can imaging the amount of work that would take. Making another plotline and perfecting it, implementing it in Onlink and testing it to perfection. Seems like a lot of work.

Those ideas look very much like Slave Hack but those are good ideas nevertheless.

Yeah, i guess so... That's the bad side. anyway, the idea is there, when someone feels like it, they may do it... actually i had this idea for my never coming mod :P i have absolutely no idea about c++.

Heeeeey, Slave Hack. Haven't seen that in a while. Betcha my system's chock-full of virii and whatnot...

Anyways, yeah. Slave Hack was pretty cool in its execution of acquisition of software.

I played SH for about 3 months but gave up. Now my system's empty and full of spam. If you want a half decent system (2800MHz, 12Mbit) to put your virii on, the IP is 204.20.106.62 <edit: it's now 26.86.246.77>. Enjoy ;)

But less cash. Besides, you're the only one actually using it. I've changed my IP so that all of those other biatches get nothing :P

EDIT: My bad, didn't change IP. Forgot to hit continue in the processes list. My IP is now 26.86.246.77 :)

That is untrue, the virus only affect what level antivirus can delete it, the marketing mailer affects the cash you make (I got a 4.5).
