    I couldn't find anything related to the military in these topics, so here's my suggestion:

    Make servers and LANs operated by the militaries of countries.
    Examples of these systems could be:

    Mobile Command center
    HeadQuarters
    Ministry of Defence
    Military Spy Satalite
    and the big one:
    Ballistic Missle submarine command

    For the final one, a mission could be made like this:

    1. Get access to a phoneline to the president of USA or Russia(they both have subs with nukes, so...)
    2. Record voice
    3. Contact Ballistic Missle submarine command using president's voice
    4. Wait for target to go BOOM XD
    (I know neither president gives orders like that, but hey it's a game after all:)

    EDIT(To elaborate more on how the hacker would benefit from this):

    Missions could be given to the player to do the following:

    Mobile Command center:
    Give Batallion X orders to attack Y.
    Prevent Batalion X from attacking Y.
    etc.

    HeadQuarters:
    Change the attack strategy of HQ.
    Delete all the information at HQ.
    Falsify information X at HQ.
    etc.

    Ministry of Defence:
    Change orders of ministry.
    Delete all information at Ministry.
    Set new order for ministry
    Delete order of ministry
    etc.

    Military Spy Satalite:
    Order satalite to take photos of X.(Using coordinates provided)
    Turn satalite towards the sun.(Redering it inoperable until repaired)
    Delete all files on Satalite and shut it down for good.(Same as destroying a computer system)
    Crash the satalite on target X.(Make the satalite fall down to earth hitting a specific target or a random location)

    Ballistic Missle submarine command:
    Fire a cruise missle at target X.
    Fire a nuclear missle at target X.
    Fire a nuclear missle at target X, but activate self-destruct within 10 km from the target.(This might be just to threaten)
    Launch all missles present on submarine X.(Without target they will not be armed and will self-destruct. This will ofcourse decrease the offensive capability of the owner of the sub.)

    I hope this explains a bit more about this missions possible.
    Ofcourse a player could just hack for fun, but launching a nuclear missle at a target on the map will ofcourse render all servers within the blast radius inoperable or destroyed.

    Also launching missles at targets should effect neuromancer rating.(Good if used as counter-attack, bad if used as normal attack)

    I hope this explains a bit better

    The ideas could work but try extend your ideas to what different storylines could be created and how actually hack these without a mission could be profitable for the player,

    This could be profitable in another way. If you use the military to attack a company, you can increase the stock of a rival company and make money.

    Ok i like how you've extended the ideas and yet the neuromancer rating is something i always hated because it always gave you a 'good' and 'bad' ideals and i'd rather have something that reflects upon different people. So if your working for the military/terrorist faction then low neuromancer rating is a good thing yet for working for the government you'd generally need a high neuromancer rating for wherever your working with (unless it's black ops .ect)

    Do these make sense? and yeah i can see how your ideas will appeal to the player, and how a storyline could be based around them. I also like Soldier of lights suggestion so maybe we can see about Burningmace speaking to Miah about these.

    I like your idea of the contractor being linked with the neuromancer rating.
    This could prove to be something to base new storyline-missions on.
    I hope Miah agrees:)
