Come on, you and I both know that's not true! (I'm supposing you're referring to Cerberus, not to the OP) |

Yeah, at the rate Tarn is going, DF will have an accurate simulation life down to real-world quantum mechanics long before anyone else will have an accurate understanding of it. But I don't recall it having much of a political system. -- Griffinhart |

Even the current version does, to some extent. Wars aren't made just for the sake of existing -- entities go to war because their societal values are different. Which has led to some unintended consequences like elves and humans always going to war (because elves are cannibals, which the humans hate, and humans cut down trees, which the elves hate) and everyone else just kind of chilling because they have no beef with each other. It's not really very complex at the moment, and players don't actually have much influence on it after the world's been generated, but like everything else in that came it's supposed to get like 100x more complicated...of course how much of that we'll actually see, who knows. |

The idea of cannibal elves always sounded too weird for me...

Regular fantasy I find really boring so anything to make it different or more interesting is OK by me. I think the basic idea is that the elves are very in tune with nature and it is "natural" to eat what you kill, so that's what they do. |

Now that you put it that way, it does make sense to eat what you kill - so why differ irrational animals from rational ones?
