I'm sure that when you guys finally get around to rewriting Onlink completely you'll address this, but there are a few issues with the new connection map. For one - the lines. I don't know how Uplink renders them, but I get the feeling that solid lines will work better than dotted ones. They might look worse, but at least the game won't pseudohang everytime you open the map. Then the names. I can understand hiding them - especially if you have a lot of addresses added. Having the names pop up when they're selected only makes it that much more complicated - worse still if they start randomly jumping around. Why not offer the option to turn off names completely, and rather have the information show in the onhover popup? Quote: IP: 192.168.0.1
Finally - Chaoslib rocks, though I was expecting you to be able to select a final destination before randomly generating a bounce route. It's really annoying to hit "Generate", then deselect and reselect your target. Especially if the lines are slowing down the rendering, and there's hundreds of names jumping all over the place.Name: Random PLC Internal Services Machine Owner: Random PLC I won't get into the sideways logic of how someone's PC can be in Russia and their telephone in South America. I'm sure there's a solution for that too Actually, on the subject of maps: Does it need to be geographic? According to the backstory, everything that happens in-game happens on a closed network (AWAN). You'd think that the connection map would more resemble a grid of nodes and routers than it would continents. Just a thought. |

Not related in any way shape or form, but why does your avatar remind me of an old poster called... Eleazar? And, in fact, what is your avatar? |

Off topic but on form Eleazar is one of my old aliases. I have quite a few lying around the internet. And, in fact, what is your avatar? The avatar is a part of this: http://ipghost.info/ (I know, not helpful). |

Ah, right. And, why do I get the feeling "Digimon" here, or is that completely incorrect? |

Google. And intuition. Answers a lot of questions. Try it sometime. |

Seeing as I was a hardcore fanatic of the first two Digimon generations, the art style looks definitely Digimon, though I can't recognize the mon itself. (Like I said, just the first two generations. Wargreymon > all.) -- Griffinhart |

DIE AGUMON FREAK. No, seriously, Google. You learn more through the discovery process than just the information you're looking for. |

No, seriously, I'm asking you, because google doesn't have a "What is this image" search and it also doesn't give positive results for "Yeah, I dunno, some pic I saw as an avatar. Looks like digimon." Plus, I don't actually like digimon at all, and are therefore loath to go through the 'mon list. |

If you don't like digimon, then why are you so curious to know which digimon it is? Some roundabout logic there... |

Ah so it *is* a digimon. Right. Question answered. |

epic de-railment!! I have an additional request for the map: bring back the user selectable orange nodes (possibly with more colours?) |

Already a feature. However, your links list has to have enough links to scroll in order for it to appear.
