Apart from the irony, I think that (if the news system is still going to be around) we'll need much better articles. I won't even point out the redundant grammar. Is it possible to actually extend the repertoire of articles so that you only see one variation every, oh, 15 news items? And actually have them written in proper English, not substitute "dollars" for "credits", and (preferably) typo-free? |

Presumably, it's entirely possible. Someone just needs to write all those articles. -- Griffinhart |

And I would, if and when the news system ever gets updated |

What I find strange is how many people in 2010 claim to have "no knowledge of computers at all." |

And if you have no knowledge of computers at all, why exactly do you work for (or own? memory phailsauce) a software company? And why is there a demoniacally-cool and high-security customized machine in your bedroom? Heh. |

Even worse- In onlink, the start date is 2020, and they still claim to have no knowledge of computers. |

Ask any people working in IT how many people they think actually know anything about computers. |

I can vouch for myself having absolutely no knowledge about laptops (having never cracked one open, because until just recently, I never owned a laptop that was truly "mine" from the moment it was removed from its box). And compared to, say, Miah or Tycho, I might as well as know nothing about computers. (Strangely enough, I find myself [alongside my father and my brother-in-law] doing most of the techsupport for the majority of my family.) -- Griffinhart |

wow, I know alot from computers because I strangely enough have been using them since I was 3 . And my dad kept wanting me to learn things about it so in the end I know alot of programming langs and know how to make a computer, weather (is that right I keep forgetting and I just woke up ) it is a laptop or a desktop. But then again it is odd that since computers will control everything in the future (or they will be a major influence, it at least looks this way) that someone would claim no knowledge of computers which means that they 1. never used one 2. don't know how to use one 3. are lying because how else are you to right papers and blueprints for your boss. 4. are complete idiots (maybe not the last one but at least the first 3) |

What would reflect on true 21st-century morals is to have him go: "I didn't know what was I doing was illegal! Everyone else was doing it, why don't you also arrest them?". |

I am not even going to bother correcting the errors in that one.

Yup. At some point, it all just becomes an exercise in futility

...right up until you learn from those exercises and manage to teach in a manner that makes the material easier to learn and remember.Or, as my old teacher would've put it: "You can't learn shit unless you've got enough sleep, are well fed, and don't feel like barfing in your teacher's face." I liked that teacher. |
