My onlink program is crashing after successfully breaking the password of a server. I've tried reinstalling and creating a new save, but neither worked.
Here is one of the logs from the crash:
https://pastebin.com/Pm8Cfk5g
I'm running windows 10, but this is happening when using windows 7 compatibility mode as well.
Thank you.

Did you by any chance edit the .db file with SQL?

I have not, no. This is a fresh install on top of the steam version of uplink.

Actually, Onlink has been standalone for quite a while. It does not require Uplink. Are you sure you got the right download?

That is the download I used. I just assumed I had to install it over Uplink.

I tried installing Onlink to its own folder, but I get the same problem.

Have you started a new profile and it keeps crashing? Or are you trying the same save? Maybe you were just really, really unlucky this time. Try uninstalling, clearing your user data (should be stored in C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\Onlink) and reinstalling, starting a user from scratch. Also keep in mind that the current build has a known save-corruption issue caused by bouncing your connection through dial-up LAN numbers (basically, numbers that are phone numbers, not IPs. They shouldn't be bounceable through, but they are, and that's screwing things up). Avoid doing that, and you should be (mostly) free of save corruption issues

I deleted the user data and reinstalled again, but I'm getting the same crash. This time, it happened before I even began hacking, when I accepted a mission for the first time. The log is the same, failing to access something in the database file. I made a new profile for this obviously, as I deleted the entire Onlink userdata folder.

I downloaded another version of the installer this time as well, titled: "OnlinkSetup-0.2.5", which I assume is the current version. I got it from the first post in the linked thread.

I have been thinking about this bug since I first saw your post. I still have no idea what could be the cause. Until I can figure this out, here's something to try.

First, you need an SQLite database editor. You can find plenty on the net. then open the database file with it. Once you are in the database, run the query "CREATE TABLE interface ("id" INTEGER PRIMARY KEY AUTOINCREMENT, "traceTrackerXY" TEXT DEFAULT NULL");". This should solve this issue for that particular table. Tell me if that works, or if there are other issues. btw, if you don't want to do it, just send the save in a pm so I can do it for you.

Also, did you move the trace tracker at any point?

I executed the query, and I havn't tried the game yet, but I noticed that before doing this, the interface table didn't exist. Right now, it only has its ID and the line that was created by the query. I assume there is supposed to be more in it?

nope, that's the entire table.

It looks like it worked, I've not crashed at all after that fix. Thank you.
