Hey forum, new here. Been trying to get into the Global Criminal Database.
Was struggling with the password cracker earlier, but read that you need to run a Bandwidth-Monitor Disable so that's out of the way.

My new problem is interacting with the VDPIN screen. I've seen a couple videos on youtube on it, and I seem to not have the same user interface as them. I'm going to guess that I'm running a different version of the game.

It's really thrown me off however, I can't get the cash to buy the VDPIN hacker (before all my GCD missions expire). Can someone explain to me how I interact with this?

    Hey man ^^

You need a certain software to "read" that puzzle, when you have the software the VDPIN screen becomes a lights-out game. Before you obtain that software you cannot interact with the puzzle, even the expensive VDPIN cracker can't work it without.

I think you can buy the software at Uplink Internal, it's called VDPIN_Viewer or something similar.

There is another VDPIN software program at the research center which could be useful (unless you are good at the lights out game urself) but it is extremely expensive for early-game.

Thank you stranger. I just come back to say that I found it on my own. It's the in the Uplink Software marketplace. "Sys: VDPIN Viewer" like you said.

I managed to do the lights out game manually. Love that shit. Lots of time with 660 seconds on the clock to work with.

    Thank's for the reply!
