Launching X86 on windows XP with Service pack 3 installed displays the message:
"Not a valid windows 32 bit application"

You can install but you cant play.

Confirmed, Thank you. When crashing on mission list does it automaticly auto-save?
Or is it only on an interval like each 5 minutes?

Is it just me or does it still seem like there are hardly any missions available?

Edit.

Ignore. I made sure to actually wipe everything Onlink related (including from the roaming folder etc) before reinstalling the latest version. Seems to be fine now.

Thank you for last update. I'm happy, that save game bug has been finally fixed :)

Onlink is better and better with every build.

btw, any Mac OS X build available/planned?

I'm now switching to Windows for Onlink, but it would be great to have Onlink in Mac :)

I want to point out that nobody has bothered to update the main menu graphic yet.

Now that Onlink is more or less stable on Windows, I think it's time to get a Linux version up.

Enjoy.

Dependancy announcements for users of nonstandard linuxes (I use Gentoo): You'll need to install libSDL. I'll update as i come across anything, and i'll let you kow when it's running.
edit: Nope, just libSDL... However, on source-based *nixes, you'll need to install a binpkg. ebuilds, spells, and source packages won't work.

Bug Report 1: Windows 7 Ultimate X86 32-Bit

1. New account or first time start-up can cause a crash that is easily fixed by a restart.
2. User IDs for some IPs for instance "Uplink Servers" tend to bug out after game restart or log out on an existing account.
3. IP bug, some IPs will remove them selves from the quick link list, time of occurrence is random.

That all for now and thank you for bringing uplink back to life again.

Random popin: the main menu graphic is STILL incorrect.

I think I know what you're referring to.

IPs will remove themselves from the quick link list if you just completed a mission involving that server (stealing something, breaking it, etc.). Maybe it's that?

I pushed another version:

Fixed:
- game start crash on Windows (thanks Linux)
- save game corruption due to missing list update
- Neuromancer rating issues

viewtopic.php?p=17515#p17515 for the links.
