Hello all, I just stumbled over this mod and I love it so far! Great work!!! But I seem to run into a problem, I am still a very low level agent, but I already have a firewall and a proxy disabler. The problem: When I want to hack into the International Social Security Database, my ConnectionHUD shows me that it has Proxy, Firewall, Encrypter and Sentry as defences... That wasnt like this in the beginnning! I think it changed after I became a certain level or after I completed a mission. Is this normal? Social Security Server is not the only one that upgraded its defensive messures. Again, I am wondering if this is normal?! |

Yes, systems have their security measures upgraded when they notice they've been cracked or bypassed |

You just made my day, sir! But, can I have a question? When I launch onlink, it doesn't do anything more than launching the console, than "crash", while the process "Onlink-X86.exe" remains in my process list and can't be terminated in any way other than relog/reboot [Even not using taskkill with admin rights], I can still play this in a virtual machine, but it's a bit unpractical... Also, as this is not technicly a game bug, I'm mentioning it here first, any clue how to solve this or what causes it? |

Well just stabbing in the dark here, but are You on a X86 system or 64 bit? cause the X86 shortcut crashes like a meth addict for me under win 7 64 bit... if You are running 64 make sure to use the 64bit short cut But, can I have a question? Coolies, new version. I had a bit of a play and noticed I only get around 4-5 missions generated, which isn't really enough to do much. I guess it was a bit unrealistic with ~50 agents and only one of them taking missions though. I blame Uplink's engine Submitted the missions thing to the bug tracker. |

Unfortunately the date bug and the fact that most of the time there's no missions to accept almost makes this less playable than the last update. |

Yeah. While waiting for a patch, I decided to be weird and look through some of the game files. Kind of interesting, such as the spam messages that you can apparently get ingame, but I found memory address 002886A0 to 002886D5 in Onlink-x86.exe very strange. Code: Porn_Viewer.PornData%d..T3h 1337 h4x0rz!!!..HAHAHAHAHA
I have not seen this ingame so far.Minor edits for grammar. |

Sorry about the mission and date bugs (which turned out to be the same source). As usual, you can get the version here. Hopefully fixing this didn't break anything else :/. |

I had a suspicion they were related, if only because of the "Rewriting Onlink" 2009 post on Anomalous Anomaly about how dates and mission generation work together. No need to be sorry though. This is still a beta; we're supposed to be finding glitches. |

That's better! Been playing for a few hours now. It feels a lot more stable, the occasional crash occurs when opening the missions list but autosave saves the day there. But these are minor things I can live without for now, I'm just happy to have a relatively stable version, so thanks Mc2m! Edit: The 'missing' items were just further down the list lol. Just that scrolling with the mouse wheel doesn't work in the Uplink Laboratories Research Centre! |
