O  M :) G :D

So happy to see this up

Is the file at http://ferrousmoon.com/OnlinkSetup-0.2.5.exe being updated as you go? Perhaps we (devs actually) could use some version numbers so we (users/testers) know if we have the most up to date version

And THANK YOU FOR THE HARD WORK!!

Yes. I figure for now I'll just update the title of the thread when a new one is up.

I also am having a couple other already-mentioned bugs ... can't manage loans, crashed first time closing the game (though it did save).

On creation of a new account, on the news server there was the same story of the hacker "Demi-God" being arrested 8 days apart

It's pretty confusing using the world map for the first time because the names don't show unless you click them

That one is done on purpose. Uplink's map gets cluttered really bad if you want to have a good bounce.

I understand that. For people who haven't played before though (and myself for a few minutes) it's somewhat confusing. Maybe if there are a certain number of links on the map below a threshold the names could be displayed? Or perhaps ... the Uplink/Onlink servers could always be displayed? The green-colored targets are helpful of course but its tricky picking your first hops. InterNIC I would think at least should always be displayed

Also, if you go into Render3D on InterNIC it seems you have to disconnect from the server to back out (unless that's a puzzle)

What's the best way to collect logs for debugging Onlink? My 0.2.5 crashed today while clicking on the missions list button after taking a new mission (only one mission on the list). Interestingly, loading up the save again had the mission I'd just taken and the mission list was open (maybe it crashed while saving and opening the mission list). I tried to find an error log but didn't see anything in the Onlink directory or mydocuments

Where would I find my savegame to upload it to bugzilla?

I was logged on as admin at the stock market and when I closed the page with stock prices on it the game crashed. Now every time I try to load that save the game crashes. Happened on the x86 version but trying to load the save in the 64bit version also crashes

The best way is to give the stack trace or the lack of it (cosed with nothing). For that bug specifcally, It would be helpful (it's already in the bug list http://www.ferrousmoon.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=175).

for windows, C:\Users\User_Folder\AppData\Roaming\Onlink\users.

Yes. More specifically the output right when crashing.

I'm playing through the story missions, and I'm hacking Marie Gunsolus's computer. It's asking me for a voice id. This wasn't here last time I played. I'm not sure if this is a bug or intentional. If it is intentional, I have no idea how to get the voice sample, since she's not a system administrator for any company (as far as I know).

I was really happy when I saw this thread!

Not yet. There will be one once we have something more stable.

It's both in a way. There are plans for a telephone database to do those inaccessible voice ids. for now it's a fixed bug.

Beta has been updated.

This is the first test of the patch system allowing us to change your savefiles with new content each release instead of making you start a new agent every time. Isn't that nice.

Interface change: you can now scroll faster wheel on your mouse.

Fixes:
Fixed VSEC3 in VSEC1/VSEC2 (using VSEC3 would make every subsequent VSEC act like VSEC3)
Fixed record screen crash
Fixed close account crash
Fixed Scrollbox not being removed in share list screen
Fixed few bugs in screen loading
