Let's start with your video card information.

And post this to bugzilla.
Miah, that seems to be a common occurance. It always happens to me on the first load. It might be nothing. I might be experiencing the same thing, but it might be nothing. It's done that for both an ATI card and a Nvidia card (I upgraded from ati to nvidia). After an options file is made, it stops. It might have something to do with not having a resolution defined.

Hello Miah ! Thank you for your concern !!!

It was not the graphic problem.. There was a Korean Alphabet on file path..
like C:\users\김진욱\onlink......

This caused failure of loading option file..I think... ! T_T

What bioshacker001 said was just correct ~!

Anyway, I can play onlink ver0.2.5 now... and Thank you again for developing this fucking amazing, awsome game ! Plz Keep going on this!!

Thank you Thank you Thank you ! Have a nice day !!

In my opinion at this time, I feel it's a valid tactic to avoid passive traces in exchange for a standings hit.
Good point. Wouldn't the company hire someone else after you failed to complete the job, though?

An excellent point. Perhaps I should do that with all jobs and make it so that you cannot re-accept them.

Historically, it just said you cannot accept the job on the contractor's specific instruction, which would only imply everyone knows you did it, so why bother with the mission. But being rejected for failing it once already sounds perfect.

I should also blacklist contractors if you fail the mission and requested half/all money up front. Or maybe a balance sheet where they dock your pay on future jobs?

Both seem fun, but if I was to pick one... the first seems more challenging!

If you do the first, I'd like the ability to RETURN the money for non-blacklisting if I'm not being malicious. Sometimes I just mix up File Deleter and File Copier... For the tenth time. <v>

Makes sense.

You DID waste precious time for the company, though

Solution to mixing up copy and delete missions:

Do both. First copy, then delete
It makes sure you don't do the wrong one.

Think I'll go for a hybrid of the two.

Docked pay + banned from that employer after X failed missions and Y fail rate. You may then request Uplink Corp to argue your case and they'll return with a credit value that you must pay to be able to accept contracts again.

This value will be total owed + a percentage fee, some for Uplink Corp's hassle (shame on you) and some to placate the corporation. This amount will be scaled on the "morality" of the corporation.

A word on morality. It's been in for ages and essentially determines how frequently a specific company will post a mission. If you get a frequent employer, it's probably far in the negatives in terms of morality.

So if you piss off a -90 employer, be ready to be extorted for 500% or more of what you took in the first place, because 1) they don't care and 2) they offer more missions than other companies.

Come on, man, Onlink is hard enough as it is. I've been resorting to a memory patcher to be able to get through VSEC puzzles.

Now you'll never fail a mission again!

No, I don't use it to keep from failing. Just to bypass VSEC. If i did anything else it would lose it's fun. But VSEC kinda spoils the game for me.

I was going to say something about "immediately blacklisting after a single failed mission is kind of dumb" but then you reminded me that you're not an idiot.

Edit 4. Managed to make bugzilla account, and posted the close account bug. Going to see if I can replicate statement bug. Remove this post if it is cluttering too much.

Edit 5. Replicated it! If you use proxy killer and firewall killer, then transfer money to separate account, delete logs, log into that account, delete logs all is fine.

If you use b.monitor killer however...statement page crashes.

-------

I can't seem to make a bugzilla account so i'll post here;

Getting a constant crash bug when attempting a bank heist. Connect to target bank, kill proxy/firewall/b.monitor, transfer money to a new account at same bank. Delete logs. On same connection, log into new account with the money. Clicking on 'statement' crashes the game every time.

Edit.

Tested a bit more. Seems like when I first create an account at a new bank, clicking statement works fine. Transferring some money to that account legitimately from my uplink bank, and then clicking statement is also fine.

Edit 2.

Trying to test it a bit more. Made two accounts on a non-uplink bank. Shipped 100c to one of those accounts. Created a bounce path to the bank and logged into the account with the money. Transferred that money to the secondary account at that bank, and on the same connection, logged into the second account and clicked statement. No crash.

I also tried connecting to the bank through bounce, transferring money to my new account from other persons and deleting logs after killing proxy/firewall, then logging out. Re-bouncing and connecting to that bank, then logging into the new account and clicking statement doesn't seem to crash the game there either.

I couldn't test transferring the money, deleting logs, disconnecting, then reconnecting, killing proxy/firewall and then clicking statement on the new account because I get disowned before my killers finish.

So far it seems to be exclusive to illegal money on a single connection.

Edit 3.

Can't seem to replicate the clicking statement crash. However, it seems that clicking close account crashes the game. On every account, with or without illegal money, trace routes or disablers. Restarting the game after crashing from closing an account leaves the account in your financial screen, but trying to access the account crashes the game.
