Hmm, found a bug when creating new agent... It crashes before I can enter agent name. See attachment.

EDIT: the temp fix seems to be to change anything in the settings, apply and create new agent after then

1: (this is old) the "saved-connection" table is created first time a connection is saved.. which can be annoying for plugin/mod development (it was for me..); i'd prefer if it was created with the agent, not during gameplay

2:(this is new) at the beginning of the game, if you copy the file_copier to memory slot 0x000, then Tutorial will also get the name "file_copier" - http://prntscr.com/7dq5je (but will continue to use the same amount of space as Tutoial), Now if you attempt to select the big bugged file_copier, then the big and the small copied file_copier will be selected. http://prntscr.com/7dq5re . Now, if you attempt to delete either of them, both will be deleted. http://prntscr.com/7dq60z . Now, if you attempt to make a new copy of file_copier to 0x000 , the "deleted" big bugged file_copier will suddenly re-appear. http://prntscr.com/7dq68c - Now, if you delete every file_copier in your memorybank, to re-purchase it (in hope of getting out of this bug), it forces you to buy file_copier version 2, "previous version" button doesn't do anything. -- http://prntscr.com/7dq6sm - now if you purchase file_copier v2, then try to copy file_deleter to slot 0x002 , the tutorial_file will re-appear again! this time, with the name file_deleter. - http://prntscr.com/7dq7f4 - i could go on about how this bug work, but doubt it'd be useful :p

well now its really bad..
buy a log deleter then a password breaker, then buy Denial. the Denial purchase will delete your password breaker
then restart the game, and buy Password breaker again, and it will merge with Denial, and create a 5GQ password breaker  lol (and this merge deletes your Denial) - I'm declaring

Onlink crashes with the above log. Happens everytime I attempt to open the Finance window (bank accounts window that displays all the players bank accounts and balance) for that save. However, it only happens on the save that it occurs first on. Starting a new game "fixes" this (since it's a new user file) but that means I lose all my progress.

Attached zipped Save File. Hope it helps!

EDIT:
FIXED IT!

Okay so I've found out what the problem is. It lies in the removal of the "accounts" table record in the table management that deals with bank accounts.
Code:
Assertion failed : 'ba' File: interface\localinterface\finance_interface.cpp Line: 259
My thoughts: 'ba' = bankaccount?

Using SQLite DB Browser, I opened up my save (.db file), under "Browse Data" -> "bankaccount" table. Took note of how many bank accounts (and their account numbers) are listed at the bottom of the table.
Switch over to the "accounts" table, at the bottom, I found all my bank accounts as well. Compared them with the accounts from the "bankaccount" table earlier. I noticed there was one additional account that was not in the "bankaccount" table. I deleted this record. Went back into the game and I could access my bank account list as normal - fixing the issue.

I believe the extra entry was not properly deleted from the "accounts" table. This makes sense to me because at about the time the problem arose, I had just closed a lot of bank accounts in-game to cover my tracks.

To see exactly what I mean, I've kept the faulty save file attached here for reference.

Hope this helps anyone having similar issues!! :D

Hello. Just wanted to sign up and say that this is a great mod for Uplink. A lot of useful features added and new missions/software which I like.

Managed to play for a couple hours before my game crashed. But, the save file was in tact and acted just like a disconnect. I will be awaiting for the next version. Keep up the amazing work! 8)

Linux: http://ferrousmoon.com/onlink.tar.gz

Nicely done good sir, I haven't noticed any problems with the memory banks so far. VDPin has to wait till I am at that point again. Started from scratch just in case.

I don't know if it's even feasible to fix but Onlink still hates non-ASCII characters in folder paths and refuses to launch. Would there be some way around it without having to rename folders? Like, forcing it to use the game folder itself for configuration file rather than %appdata%?
