What? He don't have a computer again? Oh god, is it another donation call?

Nope. That's not what this is about. The bugger's just in for repair for the next week. Or so. I honestly don't know when I'll get it back, but that's neither here nor there. Now's just a good time (since I can't do any Cerberus coding) to mention something I've been meaning to.

SO. On around Labour day (that is 06 September for all you non-American types), I intend to make a general statement about Cerberus. There seems to be a quite a lot of speculation regarding exactly what it's going to be, so I'm going to explain it all in exactly one word, which also happens to be the new working title for Cerberus (then I'll explain in a few paragraphs why it makes sense, because I don't expect anyone here to know what my polluted mind is thinking right away).

I was thinking about this, and I think it would be a good time to ask the rest of you what questions you have about the game. If you have anything to ask, go ahead and do so below. Who knows, I might even answer them. ;)

Oh, and if you're going to PAX with us, you'll be getting your information two days ahead of time.

I had been wondering where the fuck you went. In other news, fishing in Canada is boring. Nobody up here, our group or otherwise, has caught a damn thing. Except maybe a rockfish or two. But nobody wants those.

Are you going to be continuing with the storyline from Onlink, or has that been scrapped?
To what extent does Cerberus expand on Onlink? Is there going to be any familiar game mechanics such as Internic routing/log deleting?
Are you going to consider releasing as an Indie game on Steam?

Are you going to make some client for running the game that will check for updates automatically and show us recent changes?
Are we going to be able to build our own programs?
Are we going to be able to steal some programs (not buy them)?

This. FFS, please have a changelog for Cerebus/whatever Cerebus' new name is, guys.

We started doing this with Onlink, but then realized that the commit log was uninformative to the general public. Perhaps if we start using a decent bug tracker (redmine is pretty great), then we could just post a list of bugs marked RESOLVED FIXED as our changelog, and then detail any new features.

You'd do better with Skype if you have it. So few people I talk to on MSNM, I seldom even sign in anymore.

Yeah, skype has kind of taken over for me as well.
