Miah and I will be blogging periodically over at Anomalous Anomaly about the Onlink rewrite. We'll be posting screenshots, ideas, and demos as things progress. The first post will be up as soon as Miah reviews it.

I highly recommend you subscribe to the blog's RSS feed to be notified about future postings. Our posts will be mirrored on http://www.onlink-mod.net too, but there's no RSS feed implemented for that page yet.

Small thought: http://twitterfeed.com

http://twitter.com/onlink wouldn't hurt either, since (unbelievably) the username isn't taken yet.

The twitter name 'onlink' has now been claimed.

And if anyone wants to follow me, I'm neunon.

Sweet - it's always nice to get the exact name you're looking for :)

Still having issues with the picture? I gather trying a different browser didn't help?

edit: Oh, and flesh out your profile a little. It makes all the difference in the world, trust me. I'll stop nagging now :P

I'm a bit reluctant in joining twitter. But never mind.

Hey, what a cool background map. Where did you find that? I like the idea of land beeing displayed as oceans and lakes as it's the place where the information flows like water.
And like water it forms big pools and puddles and streams and rills ...

Could I get that map? Ah, got it. Easy, stupid me. And done. Great.

Sometimes I think to complicated. First I was looking up the image-addresse via adblock image until I realised, I could also just klick the background and save image to. LOL

Right. Ask. May I Tycho? Pretty, pretty please? It's just for personal use. Won't sell it.

"Map?" You're referring to the background image on the @onlink profile page? That's the standard vanilla blue Twitter backdrop. You could probably just save it out.

If that's the "map" you're talking about...

Edit: Ah, you're more likely referring to the background image on @neunon, right? In that case I'd ask first ;)

Cool Tycho. Thanks for the insights.
I hope the dog won't bite too much, dragging you deep into hades and the world of chaos.
If things go well, your coding should work like Orpheus song.

May your journey not last long
trudging the banks of Acheron,
may you cross Styx safe and return
triumphantly to the living realm.

I'm really curious on how you will call your pet later.
Erebos, Tartaros, ... or rather Phoenix :classy:

To what extent are you going to be blogging about actual features (new, old or improved)? Talk about code means nothing to me, but I would like to read about anything that will affect gameplay.

Given their track record with upcoming Onlink features, I'm not hoping for much ...

Meh. As long as they're saying something consistent, substantial, and in a positive tone of writing, I'll consider myself satiated. ^^

How long have you been a member of this forum? Consistently substantial, positive news has never flowed like water on this site. Its usually 1-2 days of decent updates a month followed by weeks of computer errors, server mishaps, and delays. Not to mention that one time with the thing, and we didn't hear from anyone for like 2 months... yeah. News flows out off cnn like water shot out of a canon, news flows out of this place like axle grease on sandpaper when its colder than a well diggers ass outside!!!! lolol I'm by no means doubting anyone's ability, I'm simply stating, don't get your hopes up. I prayed for this rewrite for like months. It was getting boring almost to play through Onlink. After playing Uplink/Onlink for going on 10 years, its starting to get to me. Although I can't have anything in my house that has a high pitched beeping sound. My new phone beeps like the Trace Tracker and every time it goes off I think I'm being traced!!! I have to run to my comp and make sure that its not running any of my prof. Anyway, thanks for the rewrite Miah and Tycho, glad to see it. Damn glad. Good luck.
