That would be HE, as opposed to HE:U.
So? Some refer to it simply as "Hacker Evolution" despite the "Untold" suffix. Besides he mentions data arriving before it's sent, which is a component of the plot of HE:U. Dick.

Looks like it's reading "CornCast".

Since we all are displaying our speedtest results ...

But I think it's falty. I got a 16Mbit DSL and right now I get ... uh. why do I only get 8Mbit? I already had the full 16. Not again!

You should always crosscheck with other speedtests ;)

Hui, it get's better and better with distance

Must be a wurm hole. Somethng close to time travel like in that pseudo copy of a hacker game called "hacker evolution" where packages arrive before they were send.
WHAT THE BLOODY HELL.

Is Britain really becoming such a backwater shithole that our top-level internet speed is 20mb, complete with crappy service, censorship and high price, when other areas of the world are getting 200mb?

Just another reason for me to move out asap.

Don't complain so much. My top internet speed was 768k where I was. It was at the cost of more than Tycho's connection.

Living in a rural area was like living in the stone ages.

I just can't believe how far behind we seem to be. It's not like i'm out in the sticks either.

Not bad for living in Maine...considering FiOS is extremely rare around here still.

My school on the other hand is around 32 Mbps...but I can't display a result because I'm not there. :P

Yes yes, I know. The upload speed is horrible.

I'm one of those people that have been here for ages but haven't been posting much as of late, in case you're wondering.

PEOPLE! ...
Don't let the "results" bring you down.
I already mentioned, that speedtest produces sometimes somewhat faulty speed results.
I could never have a faster private internet connection with Deutsche Telekom today, than 25 or 50 Mbit/s VDSL in the cities where they offer it. And it's still too expensive.
If I could physically get such a high speed as speedtest offers I damn sure would pray for a faster upload. They would never allow anyone to get a faster connection than what he was paying for by mistake, rather a slower one ... ups.

No, no, I've got 16Mbit/s DSL flat (max 16.000 kbit/s down; max 1.000 kbit/s up) for 50 Euro/month (including telephone flat).
I still find it very expensive compared to what you guys could get at what prices.
Regarding that most of the time you won't get the top speed of your bandwidth.
But I really need internet, I'm addicted to it and I need decent speeds.

Oh, you guys, don't fight. Be nice to each other.
Yes and no, I was referring to Hacker Evolution with that character Brian Spencer in it that is trying to bring light into some curious cases around internet failures that lead to the A.I. that controls the information time travel. It may be abbreviated HE.
I have never heard about HE:U (Hacker Eveolution: Untold) though. Seams nice. I'll need to try that out too. Any more games in the direction of hacking?
