Is this new version going to have those Happy Fun Extra e-mails I wrote in it?

I cannot in good conscious give an ETA on this. Something might happen and the date would be passed. It would not be the first time.

There are two behind-the-scenes things I need to do that would not make sense to discuss here, so if I am silent, you can assume I am either doing that or have collapsed from exhaustion (I am working 8 hours a day with a 2.5 hour commute either way).

I will mention that there is one more thing I am doing other than those two which I will release details over soon. It's a manual dialer, to put it simply.

What's it for? You'll see. Eventually.
The number you have dialed could not be recognised. Please check, and try again...

Nice!Actually a few weeks back,I was thinking a manual dialer would be rather useful.I hope we will be able to bounce a chain with the dialer and not just have one specific single dial use.

You'll be able to do either. There will be two buttons. The first will direct dial and the second will bounce through your saved bounce path before connecting to it.

Just be sure you have a saved bounce path, or it'll direct dial.

Not enough to update the head post until it's done, but I wanted to mention that the manual dialer is nearing completion.

I've had a few requests for a projected release date.

We don't do deadlines. It's just asking for trouble. And also angry people.

However, I have added to the front of the head post my personal progress log. It should give some idea as to how much more time it's going to be.

Also note that some things that would be on the "todo" list will take longer than others. Case in point: Mission availability rebalancing will require a moderate change, while "Software_Update program" will require a lot (new sw sales server for update info, a patching program, and something to curb skyrocketing prices, to name a few).
