So, this is a little stupid of me, but I haven't actually played Onlink yet, I remember reading all about it before it was released and I just thought today 'hey, i should go see if that is out at all'. but i saw this post on the front page before i got the game =)

Now mind you these are very very very generic but shows the level of work that I do. doing the actual icons would be made to fit the games GUI and theme of course.

The bomb could be for demolition man, and all the icons would have attributed colors for the metal type of course. The knife for backstabber. these are easy and I made them in about 10 minutes.

I love doing in game graphics though, which is why i jumped at the chance to post here. The last project I worked on was a large amount of the in-game graphics for audio surf (http://www.audio-surf.com/). the main link on there is my portfolio page as well.

I don't suppose this is still open? Doubt it as it was 2 months ago....

If it is, I can give it a shot :)

You know, here something which is 2 months old is good as new. Usually, at least.

That's certainly the case here. I haven't finished the storyline missions/names yet, so the awards aren't yet finished.

Actually I will see what I can come up with, expect a reply with content within a day or two.

I actually think these suck, but eh.

They all use the Online O from the Battlefield font set as an example.

Well, I don't have photoshop, but I can use GIMP. I made this uplink-style medal in a few minutes with it:

It's a sword and a shield, in case you can't tell.

EDIT: A less uplink-style version of the above medal.

No offense, but it looks more like an axe and shield. The curve of the sword's hilt threw me off.

Now that you mention it, the sword does look a lot like an axe. Well, no matter. I'll just modify em...

...And here they are.

Uplink Classic:

Not Uplink Classic:

Of course, now they might look like picks...

Drop the crossguard down a bit. Shorten the blade and make the hilt longer/more noticeable.

Failing that, maybe have the sword go pointy end up.

And perhaps try a version with slightly smoothed edges (antialiasing)?

Ok. Lowered hilt, and passed through an anti-aliasing filter.

More Uplinkish:

Less Uplinkish:

Almost, but on the Uplink one make the end more pointish. Then you have perfection. Unless you wanna make the sticking out part at the end of it a little less protuding.

It's a cotton swab sword, like in Cosmic Osmo!
