I should mention that those repositories aren't truly their own. They took apt-get from Debian.
I don't agree, that would be like as saying: "Ferrous Moon isn't truly yours, because you took phpBB3 from The phpBB Group".

Also, on your other stuff, I don't agree. I don't want to do overcomplicated, and totally unnecessary, stuff on my desktop. Ubuntu makes daily use of Linux just simpler. Actually, it is the main reason I use Linux. Ubuntu is so much simpler than windows: no driver mess, installing programs with 3 mouse clicks, no security worries, no mandatory reboots when you are in the middle of something (Windows: "you have 5 minutes until I force a reboot"), less crashes (because of a cold-boot problem with my motherboard I will have crashes in any operating system, but it seems to happen less often on linux), no BIOS resets because windows somehow manages to completely disable my onboard network card, and of course a certain amount of more wow to the system.

Also, AOL-ers will have a general on-windows-my-start-button-said-start-and-on-linux-it-does-not-I-demand-you-change-this-for-me-right-now-or-i-will-stop-using-linux attitude, so they wont be a real problem besides filling my IRC logs with totally dump entries.

It's like saying that Ferrous Moon made these forums. Sure we set them up, but the vast, VAST majority of the work was done by the phpBB team getting it set up.

My statement was pointing to the contents of the forum, not the forum software.
