Just wondering what everyone did, for those who had their's already. I went up north to meet my women's family. She has a BIG family. Compared to my 4 family members here, i met over 100 ppl this weekend. Also, I am now Engaged since this weekend 01001001 00100111 01101101 00100000 01000111 01100101 01110100 01110100 01101001 01101110 01100111 00100000 01001101 01100001 01110010 01110010 01101001 01100101 01100100 00100001 00100001 YAY^^^ |

Congratulations on the engagement! As for how spring break "was"... I'm currently in spring break. My spring break started Friday the 14th, and ends the 25th. But so far, it's relaxing. I've been receiving a steady flow of emails from people reporting more results for the Acid 3 rankings. By the way, Safari is in the lead for released browsers and beta browsers. Taking ass and kicking names. Or whatever. |

Thanks!! I've been waiting for awhile for the right one. Yeah they were just starting their's too in Michigan, I stayed at Western Michigan Univeristy, while i was up there..... After my hangover goes away i'm going to work on my site and put all the pictures up. I didn't know you had a tester like that out. Would Linux/Unix broswers be supported? If so, i will get my other computer setup with Mandrake and get a few broswers to test if you need them. |

Any modern web browser with Javascript can run it. But things like elinks, links, lynx, and so forth can't run it. |

This is a nice broswer test though. i'm suprise download.com or cdnet hasnt picked up on it and used your rating system. Its the only way to truly test a browser, instead of rating it on interface looks, price or system requirments. |

I think you're missing the point of it. At least partially. Acid 3 is a test of how compliant a browser is with certain standards. Acid 3 focuses on DHTML, Javascript, and the DOM. The predecessor, Acid 2, also focused on standards, but largely focused on CSS and how things are rendered with it. There are several browsers that still fail the Acid 2 test. I highly recommend checking out how badly Acid 2 renders in Internet Explorer. It's very amusing (check here for a screenshot). Safari (WebKit-based), Opera, and Konqueror (KHTML-based) browsers are some of the first to pass the test. Internet Explorer 8 beta 1 passes the test at the expense of rendering other pages horribly wrong (try looking at uplinklabs.net in IE8). And now Acid 3 is out, showing yet again how standards incompliant Internet Explorer is. Anyway, these tests don't measure how fast a browser is, how well-designed the user interface is, or what security features it has. These tests are meant to demonstrate how accurately standards-compliant web pages can be displayed on a given browser. The average user wouldn't notice rendering differences on any one page between browsers. Web developers have to use workarounds for IE's notoriously bad rendering engine, and if the developers have done their job, the pages render fine in any browser. These tests are intended to highlight the flaws and help browser developers correct the issues. |

Thanks we both thank you very much! The only thing is though, I have to convert to a Catholic so she would be able to have the wedding her Family wants. Has anyone converted before for thius reason? I herd you may just take a few classes and that will be ok. |

Roman Catholicism? Urgh. Conversion? Whut. Conversion isn't just a matter of taking classes and learning some rules, conversion is a change of beliefs. What system of religion are you? A different denomination? Atheist? |

I'm sorry im still trying to type straight from the after effects of this weekend, by saying what i did, i ment, i think this acid 3 and 2 is the best system to test a browser(for the language's it tests), I myself, have ever seen. "Instead of using user interface, bleh, bleh" to rate it. Like download.com cdnet and all other "top program", "demo sites" do for any program..UNlike acid 2 or 3 does for browsers. I can test my browser for looks, and secruity holes myself, but unless I have the source, a packet sniffer, or a Com Veiwer I wouldnt be able to test what Acid does.Acid 3 is a test of how compliant a browser is with certain standards. Acid 3 focuses on DHTML, Javascript, and the DOM. I hope i made sense this time. I'm basicly saying I would rather know my web browser can load a detailed java script, and refrence my Dynamic lanuage better than any others. I also cant believe how bad netscape performed in that last link you posted. Quote: Roman Catholicism? Urgh. Conversion? Whut.
Well I was rasied Methodist, intil I was 14. Then I studied alot of differnt belifs. I would not mind attending Mass, I even am particapating in Lint' with her this year. But we have no Catholic chruch around here for me to learn. She told me her brother in-law joined this three day class, and was able to have a Catholic wedding. I do want to covert IF I can goto Mass, listen and learn for atleast 3 months.

Well, I'm not a Roman Catholic, but basically you have to accept that everything the Pope says ex cathedra is the word of God, that there's a great deal of bells and smells involved, and basically what happens during a mass. There's a few other odd beliefs about saints around, and things like that, but that should cover you. Talk to an RC priest. |

Did you hear anything about the Pope changing Saint Patrick's Day too last Sat.? Because this year it fell on Holy Monday. Its a rumor, but not sure. I guess I would do whatever it takes to make her Family happy. They are good peoples. |

You shouldn't change your religion for someone else. Period. |

I am willing and wanting to convert, as long as I can goto Mass and learn before I do. I don't have a religon know, because I have been studying and learning about all the others. Just haven't been able to learn much about this.
