| Post subject: | problem installing Uplink |
hey guys ( and gals ;P ) so today I am trying to install Uplink on my computer... I have tried both with the ISO of my cd, the cd and a rip that I downloaded in a while back. And It stops.. This "wowexec" stops it, I think... Now I have tried to do it the google way. But the best thing I found was that I needed to clean my register, wich I did... And it still keeps acting up And I was kinda hoping that someone could give me a clue on what to do? Computer : AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+ 2,40 GHz, 1,87 GB of RAM ( <-- I will explain that in a bit ) I dont have a video card, it is intergated in the main board, and it takes almost 256 MB ram. Thats why it only shows as 1,87 GB of RAM... Could my computer be the reason for it? |

Generally, 64-bit operating systems drop support for 16-bit programs. The installer for Uplink (the official one) is 16-bit. It's a really old InstallShield installer. If you don't know what you're running, chances are it's 32-bit. I would suggest you try installing with another machine and then copy the folder to a thumbdrive or something. |
