Dues Ex, you could have played it before but chances are you didn't which is a shame because it's awesome. |

Played the first one, there's a sequel, right?

Played the first one, there's a sequel, right?EDIT: Deus Ex and its sequel both have issues on dual core machines. There're ways to fix this, but it's not simple. |

Tyhco what are the issues? I recently bought Dues Ex over Steam to see what the fuss is about and I've been playing it non-stop since then, and I've noticed no problems, I actually have a quad core system. |

Certain games get incorrect timings from RDTSC because they don't know which processor they're talking to. The way to solve it is to use task manager to force the process to run on only one core. (Set Affinity) |

Okay. So it doesn't happen to you. It still happens nonetheless.

Maybe its cause I'm using the Steam version? I just find it weird a hardware issue would only occur sometimes. |

I used the Steam version too. Had the problem on both a Core and Core 2. Either way, it's not a hardware problem. It's software. They're using RDTSC in assembly instead of the QueryPerformanceCounter API. |

I'm really bored with all my games, and I just spent about 2 hours on addictinggames.com. Anyone know any free games? Maybe you can play them online or something? I just want a game I won't get bored with. EDIT: I named my pc Ganglion. The IdleWiki is down right now so I can't show you. |
