I'm changing my vote. NetHack only. For the win. Yeah. My 2.33GHz Core 2 Duo with 2GB of RAM is my NetHack rig. It's awesome. |

Deus Ex FTW! Infinitely superior to DXIW (AKA DX2), though DX2 (obviously) has the upper hand with graphics. There's a third one being cranked out right now, though speculation indicates it may be a prequel to the first game. Ummm... If you haven't already played them, TES3: Morrowind (and expansions) and TES2: Daggerfall (if you can find a copy). Another case of the predecessors being far superior to the more recent iterations (I'm looking at you, Oblvion...). I've been back on Neverwinter Nights lately. I got bored of waiting for the Dark Waters 2 module for NWN2, so I thought I'd fire up the first game and play that... my only wish is for NWN1 to upgrade to DND3.5 rules, instead of still being in 3.0. Any Total War game. Medieval, Medieval 2, Rome, Shogun, Empires... they're all amazingly awesome games. That's all I cna think of off the top of my head. -- Griffinhart |

So far I have preferred Dues Ex to Dues Ex Invisible War, but Oblivion was awesome beyond belief. Especially once you get the Shivering Isles expansion. |

Bah. Compared to Morrowind, Oblivion was a prettier, shoddier game. (I won't comment on Shivering Isles, as I haven't chanced it yet). There's nothing quite like becoming, oh, I don't know, the mortal re-incarnation of an elven hero who's murder ascended three mortals into living divinity. And then going off to put the beat-down on a deity. And a second, who happens to be your previous incarnation's ex-wife and one of the ones that murdered you. Possibly a third, if you want to trap his soul. (And get back at him for being party to your murder.) And, oh yeah, taking on a Daedric Prince. I am the Nerevarine.
