BTW, why such thing for not sharing how-to for secrets(or at least no exact 101 guide)
I think it has something to do with the hacker culture valuing intellect, puzzle solving and curiosity. Sharing how-to would remove the purpose and the challenge of finding a secret, and wouldn't be fair to those who managed to find them on their own. Personally, while I don't mind not sharing the how-to, I wouldn't be against an official or unofficial list of the secrets.
IMO, as we know that people tend to do stuff like in games(the reason of Thaiwan banned GTA 4), so people may start hacking too. And we know hacking is like a puzzle, and making players do puzzles they start hacking too.

Your "gunning" for the wrong thing.
Gah...finally got cheat menu

Was looking at this and Onlink Credits Machine...

and realized this is a hint too

If only people would read...

Here is another hint:
Take a visit to our friends at Protovision-where they have fun.
Watch a movie-Wargames 1973 (i think)
Now...who was that guys son??
Might that be the password? xD
Watch the WHOLE movie, or you won't get it.

Hahahahahahaha, I figured out the Cheat Menu!

God, that took me two days. But I'm not going to drop any hints, only a mistake of mine: clinging to a chunk of the old.

You guys are great. Keep working on Onlink! 8) This mod is great and has re-awakened my interest in one of my all time faves.

Meanwhile, I'm going back to my account that doesn't have cheats on. For all its cool, since the entire point of the game is to grow and prosper and struggle and be on the seat of your pants, cheating kind of ruins the experience...

In my opinion, it would be more worth someone's time to master bank hacking than getting to the cheat menu for something trivial like money, for example. Same result (if you do it right) but a better experience.

Anyways that's just my two cents.

Whut?

I don't remember anything about hacking the Onlink.exe, or whatever .exe you're talking about.

Unless you are referring to the patch, but that doesn't currently apply to all or most versions of Onlink.

Has the cheat account name/alias changed in the alpha?

Or am I mistyping something?

You're right. I don't know how the cheat menu can be accessed in v0.2.0, but it definitely isn't the same as in 0.1.2

I think I remember Miah saying he was going to remove the cheats menu. Most likely to stop people cheating their way through his new story.
