I just found out that our old phpBB themes work fine in this hackish version. Anyone prefer a different phpBB theme?

I think we're doing a redesign shortly anyway. This design is god-awful ugly.

Hmm, you mean the VSE that is still at 81%?

I don't know how much work is going to be needed, but why not make the site look like the uplink GUI (I know HTML/CSS but never actually pushed out a good site)

If VITAS hadn't dropped off the face of the earth, this site "engine", if you could call it that, would be fine. But since he's not here to develop it, it's shit. Have you seen his code, by the way? Zero indentation, lots of random variables popping up everywhere which have no descriptive naming, etc, etc.

It's not cool. :?

Making this site look like the Uplink GUI is doable, but I think it's possibly overdone. Uplink.co.uk does that already, unless you mean a more literal UI replication (including the buttons in the lower left, map at top right, task manager at the top, etc).

That might be pretty cool. We could do that, I think. :shock:

I don't know how to disable it, actually. Let me check the admin control panel. I figured VITAS changed something to hardwire it to use whatever theme was set in admin options, but meh. I'll see if I can unlock it, and render this vote useless.

EDIT: Whee, override disabled. Now it should work for everyone (does here). Vote rescinded.

I noticed this as well. I don't know the cause, as I'm not a phpBB theme writer. Perhaps someone with phpbb knowledge can debug it.

EDIT: Yeah I would recommend staying on this theme anyways, no bugs...
