Post subject:  Mac version

I noticed someone asking about the progress of the linux version of Onlink. I know that there are a lot of mac users out there that would really appreciate having Onlink for their OS. Does anyone know the progress of the mac version of Onlink?

I'm not exactly sure but I believe the Onlink Developers are waiting for someone with Mac porting skills (I know someone used to do that here), in order to make a Mac version.

Don't take it from me, wait for a confirmation for Tycho or Miah or someone.

We have a Mac port ready to go, but we need the registration system from Ambrosia Software before we can release it.

In fact, most of Onlink's development takes place on a Mac. We do releases on a Windows machine, of course, but we have working Linux, Mac, and Windows builds. Ambrosia Software's copy protection scheme is the only thing holding us back from releasing a Mac build.

Ok, I've set up a topic/petition on the ASW boards for the release of Onlink for Mac. http://www.ambrosiasw.com/forums/index. ... pic=114040

So, I asked miah today (Fri 12th 12:46 am EST) about onlink, he said he was in the middle of a shutdown but said it was approved. All of this happened in about 4 seconds. :?

Confirmed, it has been approved. We're going to try to push for a Uplink universal binary release first, and then we'll get an Onlink build up.

We've been delayed in our next release partially because of Miah's computer loss and because we are experiencing a strange crash that is only reproducible in release builds.
