Either couldnt find the exsplanation anywhere, OR really all the people say is that 'it just does' or 'turn it off then play'

    My question is:

Why is it that, my vscanner, massivley slows down Uplink, and Onlink? Just the 'OnAccessScanner' part of the vscanner. It only slows down Uplink and Onlink, no other games and no other programs.
Why is this? Can anyone explain this to me? And not just give me the answers of..
    1) It just does (Or there of)
    2) If you dont like it then dont play Uplink/Onlink. (or there of)
    3) Turn it off then play the game. (or there of)
    4) You scanner sucks get a new one (or there of).

I want an explanation of why. Not some smart ass comments as i have gotten before or i have seen from other posts.

    Please and Thank you.

i have the same problem, but my computer is a bit faster. my guess is that it happens because it is scripted (forgive me my bad chose of words, but this is the easiest way to explain) and your virusscanner will scan every part when it is activated. the easiest way to solve is to exclude your onlink directory from scanning.[/quote]

It scans the ram and if you run onlink the content changes rapidly.

Thank you both for the answer. At least it was answers and not jsut smart ass comments. I do appreciate it.

Just really odd, never understood why UpLink/Onlink would make it so it would do this, i mean I run highintensity graphic as well as processor and ram intensive stuff and they never get slowed down only online/uplink just seemd really odd is all.

But thank you again i apprecaite the non-smart ass answers.
