now some of you will say, there is allready a tread like this. but this is a different question. I want to know what games are really great. A great game is a game that never turn out boring. so i'm asking not what games do you like right now, because most games will turn out boring after a while. i want you to make a top [how many you have] about this. Every type of game is allowed. this is my list of games. 1. Freelancer (with nomads revenge II) - this is just the best game ever, there is always some fun in the galaxy. 2. C&C - Red alert 2 - Yuri's revenge - the best RTS ever 3. Star Trek Armada 2 - I beleive this is the only 3d based RTS existing 4. Onlink - guess why... 5. Red Alert - a bit old, but always some fun 6. VOC - a dutch game, based on the trading across the sea in 1602 |

1. Act of War - Awesome RTS with real-movie videos. Brilliant graphics too. 2. C&C Generals: ZH - The most versatile RTS I've ever played. 3. F.E.A.R - Scared the shit out of me. Literally. Plus the graphics are awesomely sexy. 4. Onlink - Hacking + Game = Teh Pwn. 5. Diablo II (w. Lord of Destruction) - Clever, fun, long shelf life RTS with no Pay2Play bullshit. |

In terms of classics, my favourite is Asteroids. I used to play it as a kid on my Amiga for hours and hours. I beat it twice in one day once. Considering there are 99 levels, plus a bonus level, I'm pretty proud of that. The Worms series (by Team17 I believe) was good, but I get bored of it. Sonic was a fun game. First one rocked, the rest weren't as good. Sonic 3 was awful. You know what I want? That Mario game. You know, the one where the enemies on the first level are mushrooms and there's flower thing on the top of a pyramid of blocks which gives you an extra life (I think). C'mon, someone must know what it's called! I loved that game, but I could never remember the name of it. Someone tell me it! I think it was the first one to use the official Mario tune on the first level. |

Talking about classics, when a was a kid i had this game called 'mystical pyramid' (i guess) that was really a fun game. it's about getting deeper and deeper into a pyrimyde to the treasure. each level getting harder and harder. there were 999 levels, and i completed it. just something to notice, on the last level i spend 3 weeks. maybe now you get why i'm proud of that. i really played that game for 3years. i started when i was 4 and ended when i was 7. but i can't find it anymore. i'm thinking about re-creating it. but creating 999 levels, with things like laser, wind, moving stones, mirrors, jumping arrows, nah. anyway, the end movie (yes on ms-dos) was really worth playing trough all that levels. |
