    Niiiice...

Any chance of you changing the text to read "Onlink - The New Generation"?

    If you did, that'd rock.

Yeah... I like it. Not sure of where this could be applied, but it's cool.

You need to make it appear a little faster, then fade to blank, then make it come down again, and repeat.

If you need any help doing so, I could have a go. I'm not too bad with JavaScript.

    I'm borrowing the script.

I'm gonna see if I can integrate it into my site.

This gave me a cool idea:

White screen, camera draws back to reveal white is a glowing star with blue hues.
Camera continues pulling away from star and other stars begin to appear in background and on sides, creating effect of flying through galaxy, continues

to keep first star in center of screen.
Camera accelerates to right side, stars begin to quickly pass from right to left.
    Acceleration changes to up.
Stars pass now from top to bottom, quickly.
Stars begin to fade from glowing dots to randomly changing symbols (matrix) and lose their 3D appearance, to look 2D (all converge onto single plane).
Blue hue grid begins to flicker and appear
grid appears full bright quickly for a flash and then comes down to its proper intensity (super fast transition) and Onlink text appears out of fading grid. Matrix text continues to scroll in background (sparsely, a bit more star glowy)

I always liked the elliptical curve cyper that uplink uses. It's got a nice affect to it. I've always thought that it would be cool to replace the warez check (when the game prompts you to enter one of the codes that are on the card the game ships with) with an elliptical curve cyper that asks the user to complete the last couple of boxes by looking them up on the card.

However, that would be completely unnecessary and can be calssified as "feature creep" (stalling development of the game by continually adding more and more game features).

ive seen this effect on a encryption test page from a university before.

You think about intigrating it when onlink checks the code?

Yeah, you know when the game checks the files after patching and then asks the user to "enter the code on line [letter] row [number] from the black booklet that came with the Uplink cd. If that whole grid was displayed and appeared like the elliptical cyper does with most of it flashing and being set to zero except for two or there boxes which the player would have to fill in with the corrisponding values from the black booklet.
