Is this thing really needed? I would much prefer something I can install myself or at least a extract argument that I can pass to the installer which will not automaticly install but just make a folder of all the files it would normally install so I can do what I want with them.

I'm a n00b here, and untill about four minutes ago I didn't know that there were any Uplink mods that worked with linux.

All the installer is for is to Force us to read the TOS I beleive.

Try this if you don't like it....hmmn...

sh onlink-beta4.sh --help (just so you know)
sh onlink-beta4.sh --tar -xvf (extracts all three files to cwd)
tar --overwrite -xvf onlink-beta4.tar -C /path/to/uplink (install onlink)

    Umm...yeah

BTW: I had to do this because I got an error running the installer.
"tar: onlink.beta4.tar: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now"
I run ./onlink.bin (is that the correct executable?)
