I recently got back into onlink after a long break, and I always get to the same few roadblocks that I never figured out. I searched, and didn't find anything (may have looked for wrong things), so here they are.
1) On certain central mainframes (other servers?) after hacking though the passwords and such, I press proceed and get the "host not responding", then get disconnected. What do I need to do to bypass this?
2) What exactly does the sentry affect, I get what the rest of the securities do besides the sentry.
3) With banks when you hack for admin access, and view the accounts, they are all obfuscated. How do you get through this, I thought of maybe the md5 hash cracker, but that really didn't make sense.
4) Missions titled with "help bankrupt a rival" (I think, its the ones where it only gives you a name), how do you you figure out anything about them. (through the name servers?)
5) Does increasing modem do anything besides increase speed?
6) SYS_chaoslib, whats the purpose for exactly, and is the random bounce point useful?
7) Denial...I get the purpose, but...I just dont get it?
Just remembered this one, when the server says you get annot run any of the programs how do you get by this?I think that is about it for now, so any answers would be appreciated.
