I just recently found Onlink after having found and enjoyed Uplink.

I am having some minor problems but I can see it will quickly grow much worse if I dont ask now. I cannot seem to access the bug report areas so I figure I can ask here and get properly directed if possible.

I have Windows XP x64 Pro SP2 and all patches.

In the game when I log into, say, Internic, and go to admin logs. There is only a couple logs listed. Okay, no problem. Seems it's fresh from my just starting my game. However, the scroll bar shows otherwise. So I grab the scroll bar and pull it down. There's a LOT of blank space, then, what looks like my previous sessions log/s, then another HUGE bit of blank space, and then another sessions logs.

If I go way way down and use my log deleter on something way down there it takes it FOREVER to adjust the logs to cover it all the way up to the top.

There are a few other things but if this is a dead forum/mod then I'm wasting my time and might as well uninstall and find something else to enjoy.

However I'm hoping it's not dead.

No, Onlink is not dead. In fact, mc2m has been working for a couple weeks on fixing up the savegame system so the thing doesn't crash all the time.

While you wait, play Minecraft. It's great fun.

    ...Mine...craft?

*must resist playing so I can gain sleep*

Yeah, Minecraft's a good game. Trust me, you won't "complete" it before the next version of onlink is finished.

For example, some guy is working on a functional 16-bit computer in Minecraft. Another guy built the frame a 1:1 model of the Enterprise from Startrek, although he had to make it 22% larger so he could fit inside.

I was working on a 32-bit version myself. Also four floors of memory storage (I could add more) and an LCD style output using decade counters.

    I... uh... don't have a problem.

No, really. I haven't opened minecraft in a good week now. :/

If that isn't a problem, I don't know what is. Get on it, man.

I haven't touched Minecraft in... what, a year and a half now? Something ridiculous like that. Imagine my surprise when it became all popular and shit. Same deal with Dorf Fort, really - played it and then stopped playing before it became popular (or at least notable in nerd news).

(I may sound like it, but I'm not begrudging these games their popularity - I'm just surprised and a bit miffed that I got into them, and then out, before everyone else did. Missing out on the craze, as it is.)

Lots of people at DigiPen really getting into Minecraft. I hear tell of a DP-based Minecraft server, even. Not particularly interested myself - I like Minecraft for what its players have produced, but not necessarily as a player myself.

    /shrug

Maybe I'm losing interest in the industry?

    Gods, that'd suck.

In the dead of night well after my left brain has shut down for the evening, the right brain keeps plugging away. I woke up this morning with this topic open and this in photoshop as a reply.

I suspect my right brain thought it better to have this peer reviewed before posting. Good on it. :3
