Hi guys, and let me start by saying I think Onlink is awesome and definitely better than Uplink, although we mustn't forget who came up with the idea in the first place!
I have a few questions about the game which I can't seem to figure out for myself, and I have also searched the forums for the answers with no luck.
I am confused about the "Frame a user for" missions, and I would like to know the proper way to do them if possible!
I have been using a few bounces, less than 10 and hacking the machines/banks etc then editing the logs at InterNIC (my first bounce) and leaving the targets IP address in place of my own. But it still takes more than 7 days for them to passive trade and arrest the person most of the time.
If I take about 4 framing missions at once, do them all within 20-30mins and fast forward.. only 1-2 actually get arrested before the mission deadline so I fail them and get demoted.
I have also tried modifying the logs at the target computer and doing it that way so the passive trace is easy for them but that didn't seem to help.
Is there any better way of doing this or shall I just skip these missions? Its a shame because they are the best paying ones I have the software to complete right now.
Another thing I am wondering about is the storyline missions. Do I have to start taking them as soon as I get the emails or can I just leave them there for 6 game months until I have built up my gateway enough? I would rather not rush through the game, its the only reason I play is to do the side missions, they are more fun by far!
Finally (for now atleast).. Onlink seems to freeze for a couple of seconds once every minute or so.. and sometimes crashes to desktop and corrupts my savegame file. Is this a common issue that can be solved?
