So, I've got the access control system, hacked it, uploaded all my programs, validated them etc, and now when I'm trying to hack the gateway, i get stuck at the Admin Menu's VSEC version 2. Whenever i press ANY light, i get locked out from the system, I've read around and it seems i should be able to click at least 11 times before the system should lock me out. Am i doing something wrong? |

Nothing, i can only press light blocks, and i've tried every combo i can think off, still the same results, whenever i click a light block, i get locked out, and thus, unable to get any further with the new story. *edit* Appears i can solve the VSEC if the puzzle generated is a one-click puzzle, but it only happend once for me, in like...100 tries, so i'd still like some help with this. |

At least 3, at most 11. Are you very sure it's a 2.0 system? There are three version with wildly different rules. |

I tried playing my backup saves, i tried rebooting my computer, i tried restarting Onlink, still the same, whenever i press once, i get locked out. I noticed this stays the same, and it dosn't matter which system i try to hack, any system using VSEC 2 locks me out in one click. |

I can solve the VDPIN or whatever the name is fine, but whenever it comes to VSEC, version 1, 2 or 3, i get locked out whenever i click one light, dosn't matter if it's lit or unlit. |

Yes, but there are three versions of VSEC as well. Unlike VDPIN where higher version mean more colours, the difference in versions in VSEC mean new rules for solving. |

Correct. But as i stated, in ALL versions of VSEC, i get locked out whenever i click ONE light/block/whatever you call it, doesn't matter if it's lit, or unlit. *edit* And _if_ this is working as intended, do you mind giving out a clue on how to solve Version 2/3? Considering that i get locked out with one click, and I've tried _alot_ of times. *edit* Poked around a bit, and saw someone had the same problem with version 3, but they figured it out. However, since my VSEC in version 2, the rules should be the same as VDPIN/VSEC version 1, but with the rule, no clicking on unlit blocks. But, since my VSEC is behaving like version 3 one, it's still bugged, and i have no clue on how to solve it. |

I never disclosed the rules for version three, but for version two it should work if you click only blue lights. |

Thought i made it clear, but i might have missed it. If i press a gray light, nothing happends. If i press a blue light, i get locked out, no matter which combo i use, or which blue light i press, i get locked out whenever i press a blue light. And that's in one click. |

I'll make a video for you tomorrow, I'll hack the gateway, bypass all security, crack the hash, login and access the admin menu, and trying to solve the version 2 VSEC, and I'll get locked out in one click so you can see it for yourself. If you wish, i can upload my save aswell. |

Soooo many VSEC threads - which one to choose? Firstly, let me check that the behaviour I've observed is correct: VSEC 1.0 - Simple wraparound lights-out. Can click any square, but limited to x clicks before lockdown. VSEC 2.0 - As with VESEC 1, except with the extra condition of only being able to click LIT lights. VSEC 3.0 - As with VSEC 1, but with the condition of only being able to click UNLIT lights (except the last click). If this is the correct behaviour (and I can confirm I have passed each type multiple times with it) then I can confirm the above. Since I hit my first VSEC3 on an ACS, I now cannot get through VSEC1 and 2 (I.E. those on gateways). Each time I try, the system locks me out after 1 click on a lit square (which used to be the way to solve them as outlined above). Just for info, Win XP, latest beta, fresh save file (I.E. from current beta). By the way, I'm also getting the huge savefile issue, the crash on exit issue, and the keymapper not saving issue, but I guess they're outside the scope of this thread? |
