That might work, except for the people who want magenta. Then we need new skins. |

I think you should put some with more bandwidth, although, it'd be nice if the effect of bandwidth was a little more in the game... Also, I want to see a gateway that damages my retinas. Why not make it like this guy? I'M FANCY! |

Hrm...would there be an customized version of Gateway Maker or the like for Onlink? Aside from that, I guess I want a well-rounded high-range computer. |

Hey, thanks for the question. Still yet to play Onlink, as the beta I d/l'ed didn't work. But, here's hoping it comes out, and I can try it. Sounds good. |

How about a feature in Onlink to change the colour scheme using a hue change? All you need to do is write some code to colourize the image like Photoshop does. Of course, it would require you to write the new images to a dat file so that it doesn't lag like hell when it's trying to colourize everything! |

Quote: I'm getting ready to make some gateways and I was wondering what everyone would like to have included in them. Whether it be more cpu slots, or memory, or RAM, or security, or higher bandwidth, or even just a different color scheme. Vote and give me specifics of what you want to see. Thanks.
RAM and Memory are the same thing; however my vote was more cpu slots—i like power. |

Actually, in Uplink and Onlink, memory refers to storage and the capacity there for, where as RAM refers to specialized temporary storage, for executing programs and the such, much like that of the RAM in a real world computer. |

OK, here's what CPPU and Memory means: CPU-Ability to run programs quickly and to actually run them (RAM [sort of]) Memory-Storage for programs Technically, Uplink doesn't actually use RAM. It all depends on how much CPU power have. |

Please, do not attempt to correct me on this. If you will read what I said again, you will see that I said, "RAM refers to specialized temporary storage" This temporary storage, as I mentioned, is used in the execution of programs. And no, Uplink doesn't use RAM, but it does use "memory" which was what I was refering to. Onlink on the other hand does use RAM. Certain programs you buy will require certain amounts of RAM. End of story. Please do not attempt to be a smart ass. Your intellectual "prowess" is not so grand as you presume. So excuse my lack of patience. BTW, that morphine is sounding good right about now... |

Well sorry, I wasn't trying to be a smart ass, (in fact, it seems like it's you who whose being arrogant, no offense intended). However, if you must know, I have had experience with computers for my entire life; I happen to be a freelance webdesigner and programmer. Not to mention I do tech support and I am only about 15 years old. So I think I know what I am talking about. |

This is for Onlink not Uplink... Also, being younger than everyone else isn't something you want to advertise. |

Prophile is correct, being young means that you have much less experience and you are much less likely to know what you're on about. You'll realise that for yourself in about 2 years, when you've had a few jobs... And trust me, tech support at the age of 15 is not unusual. Also... Wtf!? "About 15"? Do you drink heavily enough to not know your age? hehe.

It means that in a week I will be turning 15. If you want it to be exact, I am 14 years 11 months and 356 days old. By the way, I make $400 dollars a week for web design, and around $200 a week for tech support, for a net total of $600 a week. |
