I think you should put some with more bandwidth, although, it'd be nice if the effect of bandwidth was a little more in the game...

Also, I want to see a gateway that damages my retinas.

Still yet to play Onlink, as the beta I d/l'ed didn't work. But, here's hoping it comes out, and I can try it. Sounds good.

How about a feature in Onlink to change the colour scheme using a hue change?

All you need to do is write some code to colourize the image like Photoshop does. Of course, it would require you to write the new images to a dat file so that it doesn't lag like hell when it's trying to colourize everything!

Actually, in Uplink and Onlink, memory refers to storage and the capacity there for, where as RAM refers to specialized temporary storage, for executing programs and the such, much like that of the RAM in a real world computer.

OK, here's what CPPU and Memory means:

CPU-Ability to run programs quickly and to actually run them (RAM [sort of])
Memory-Storage for programs

Technically, Uplink doesn't actually use RAM. It all depends on how much CPU power have.

Please, do not attempt to correct me on this. If you will read what I said again, you will see that I said, "RAM refers to specialized temporary storage" This temporary storage, as I mentioned, is used in the execution of programs.

And no, Uplink doesn't use RAM, but it does use "memory" which was what I was refering to. Onlink on the other hand does use RAM. Certain programs you buy will require certain amounts of RAM. End of story.


Please do not attempt to be a smart ass. Your intellectual "prowess" is not so grand as you presume. This forum is for the exchange of information and knowledge, not for trying to show how "superior" you are to other members. A good many of us on this forum are more than merely gamers. Quite a few are programmers, technicians, consultants, engineers, ect.... So it is far from possible that you, of all the people on this forum, know more than anyone else. Please keep any further comments of such nature as the ones posted here to yourself. Thank you.

Well sorry, I wasn't trying to be a smart ass, (in fact, it seems like it's you who whose being arrogant, no offense intended). However, if you must know, I have had experience with computers for my entire life; I happen to be a freelance webdesigner and programmer. Not to mention I do tech support and I am only about 15 years old. So I think I know what I am talking about. :P

Prophile is correct, being young means that you have much less experience and you are much less likely to know what you're on about.

You'll realise that for yourself in about 2 years, when you've had a few jobs... :D

And trust me, tech support at the age of 15 is not unusual.

It means that in a week I will be turning 15. If you want it to be exact, I am 14 years 11 months and 356 days old.

By the way, I make $400 dollars a week for web design, and around $200 a week for tech support, for a net total of $600 a week.
