Boredom plus a free domain credit results in a mildly useful web application, who'd've thought? http://onlink-irc.net The front page is taken up by an ever-reloading record of what's happening in the #onlink channel (minus joins, parts, kicks, quits and nick changes). The logs come from [bot]mikora (in case you were wondering). Hitting the irc:// link in the footer will fire up your IRC client, and the Chat Live button links to a java IRC applet (accept the certificate to start it). The only thing the applet can't do is switch servers, but otherwise, you can use it to register/identify your nickname, start private chats, etc etc. I'm sure you must have seen some other incarnation of PJIRC by now. Anyhow, enjoy. And download a decent IRC client, heh. Edit: Forgot to add a link to the (rather useless, admit it, lol) channel stats in the footer - you can get them here: http://onlink-irc.net/stats/. Maybe the only other thing to add is an actual list of rules, but I'm not in a position to write those. |

Nah, the stats aren't that useless. The "active times" one is interesting because it shows people who think the channel is dead when they should be coming in. |

True, that, though I generally just refer to the recent log on the front page. Things change very slowly, but when they change, I know the channel is active Hmm, maybe I should add a "Time Since Last Spoken" counter or something... |

Neat, I like the site. The statistics are quite entertaining. Would be nice to see several weeks worth of data. What bot is collecting these statistics, and is it in there 24/7? |

Tycho: [bot]mikora is responsible for getting the stats, but i woke up this morning only to realise it was down, lol. So I might lose a few logs here and there, but ultimately, yes, it's the source. |
