You might wanna wait until the next release when the lifting servers are fixed so you can do it properly.

If you don't, you have three tasks to get into the LAN.

Crack ACS. (The thing that stops you using programs on protected servers)
Shutdown the Gateway and Lifting Servers.
Break the cage. (The thing that stops you accessing LANs)

Even when the bugs are fixed, you're still going to have to achieve those three tasks. The difference will be how to complete task 2.

And that task one might actually be slightly more kind to you.

The thing is, we're trying to maintain a little bit of mystery here so that we don't just outright spoil the mission. There's no challenge to a game that you have a step-by-step guide for completing, is there?

If you post what you've done to try completing the LAN mission, we can give you a few tips, but I don't think anyone's going to post a complete guide quite yet.

Is anyone else having issues taking the ACS offline?

Can someone please walk me through the ACS in a PM? I'm pretty sure I know what to do, but I think I'm missing a final step. I got the programs on there but I can't get into the console or anything else to do anything else with them.

My problem right now is Accessing the Ferrous LAN server in the 3d mission or so. I can't get a connection due to the fact that I don't have the VPN keypair.. I broke into than Noonan (?) guy his PC, got all the way to root access and searched around a bit but didn't find any keys.

Where can I get this VPN key(pair) ?

Btw, I see you guys reading about all sorts of programs, like denial and Vsec crackers, where on earth do you find these programs?? Do they become available on the Uplink software list or something?

Also, I'm playing version 2 a8-23. Is this version a fixed lifting server version? Cuz I have a non-storyline mission involving a lifting server that I just can't takedown. I can crack it, delete the 3 sys files but I don't see a way into the console.. No root hash to start.

By studying the security systems on the LAN connection.

Should be in the Uplink Labs server.

I don't know about if it's fixed, but either way you're going about it the wrong way.
