Missions for money? I only do missions for status advancements, I do bankhacks for money. :D

(Except when, y'know, banks upgrade their ecurity too damn fast for me to be able to do a darn thing about it.)

Trying to find a decent amount of money to steal is tedious and quite rare I find. Anything under 30k and I don't bother, because I can just stack a few ruin life/frame for crime missions and earn more in the same amount of time in one connection.

well, usually from the first three 'trace unauthorized money transfer' I earn between 3 and 4 millions.. you know, it's easy to fall into a shopping frenzy with an amount of money like this

I think 4.5-5 million is enough to fully trick out a Trinity with all the best soft+hardware.

I only found one of those missions, although it did contain 12 million.

And Final Warrior, 4.5 million isn't nearly enough to totally trick out anything anymore. That 12 million got me all the software at highest available levels, the Am-Core File Server, full RAM, full Memory, a satellite receiver and the best non-qbit modem, and I think 2 Hyper 500GQ Cpus (Non-async). I'm pretty sure that's what it stretched to. I'm pretty sure it didn't stretch to PC tools though.

It should have stretched farther than that. My first two hacks amounted to about 2 million, which got me almost all of the HUD upgrades, all of the system patches, all of the best security software I could get at that moment (including PC tools, but not including LAN tools), a Trinity gateway, a 128 GQ ramchip, maxed out memory, a wireless router, two of the best processor you can buy, processor immersion for both, the Qbit receiver, and the second best Qbit modem.

The next two million I stole got me 2 more of the big processors, an Ice Kami, two Frozen Hells, the LAN HUD upgrade, and all of the LAN tools.

With 12 mill, you should have been rolling in cash after maxing everything out. Sure it wasn't just 1.2 mill?

Scratch that, maybe it was 1.2 mil by checking prices, but still, i'm sure I saw 12,000,000 :/

In which case, why didn't I get half a dozen trace a money transfer missions ¬¬

And why is everyone buying Trinitys? With Aux gateways there's no reason to buy them anymore.

never found more than 1.2 millions... but for me 3 mils are enough to buy an am coreII, 3 hyper nano 500, 3 frozen hell, the fastest qbit modem, two security devs and every piece of software and patches on uplink internal and research servers.

back on topic, could we have the choice of where to place new components and to discard the unwanted ones? :)

I bought mine before I got to thinking about using a file server and an "oomph" server.

Yeah, no. It was probably 1.2 million. I went from ~10 million to ~6 million after I tricked out my Trinity.

And the main reason why I get a Trinity (as opposed to an OMEGA) is for the extra security slots. What can I say, I'm crazy-paranoid. Gateway Nuke + Motion Sensor + Remote Router > Remote Router.

With aux gateways, the File Server is in a way, a better choice than the the Trinity or the Omega. Surely you don't need security by now? I haven't used it pretty much since I learned how to use Internic.

Isn't anyone who plays this game? If you ain't paranoid, then you're staring at the disavowed screen.

There is no such thing as being too safe in this game. I've occasionally had things go all sorts of wrong and been saved only by my wireless router.

Money tips XD

Just do mission (base missions) until you have about 30K money then buy 1 gate way the best you can get.... and then roll 24 hours and buy the - XXXXX (max amount on negative) gateway untill you can afford the most expensive... then wait untill cheap ones are installed and go out and in then buy the most expensive one, then wait again 24 hours and then buy the cheapest (negative value) so long that you can afford what you want :P fastest way to test end game things :) i found that out on my 2 uplink hack through... (worked for faith that time) so its pretty usefull in betas

They will later. If it's a defective part.

Your hardware will also degrade over time.

Bwahahaha. Etc.
Now THAT, is something I'm willing to see!
