I finally got around to playing with Onlink again and I love it. I'm stuck though... I'm trying to hack a mainframe (I saw a white name for destroying data so I took it). I got in, and got that I couldn't do anything. Ok, so I hacked the gateway. After finally getting past VSEC, I get to the console and take it down, only to find that it was saved by the lifting server. Alright... so I get to the lifting server, and I get in, only to find that I don't know the username to access it. I was searching, and someone's suggestion was to use the name server to find the admin's pc to hack that to get the username. No dice, admin's pc wasn't in the name server. Any hints? EDIT: Alright, so I did some more searching and I found out about the ISPs and I found my administrator's personal computer. But her voice print (which works on every other system in the company) doesn't work on her computer. I'm stuck. |

I have the same problem with a voice print: works on the company's gateway, but not the admins home PC Edit: also, lifting ervers save the companies gateways as well as mainframes. I think they may be a sys directory backup and restorer for all of a companies systems. |

I tried the Managing Directors voiceprint on the Managing directors PC, and it doesnt work either. Possibly a bug? Or just Miah finding a new way to stop us getting into systems and causing mayhem. |

Accessed the lifting server without hacking the admins Pc or anything. For the username, think of what it does to the other systems. |

Hm, tried deleting os.sys, boot.sys and kernel.sys from the lifting server, but the internal services machine still somehow retrieves them from the lifting server |

Um, i've got into a lifting server (In fact, a bunch of servers with PC_HUD logins and when it comes time to crack the password, I just use my breaker, open the PC_HUD and click access for login on the next page. I can then attack the Admin section. |

On this lifting server when I try to use the password cracker it fills in the username with admin and then closes, because admin isn't the username it needs. I can't figure out what the username needs to be. |

Once you do that, open your PC HUD, go to the page with the Inject/Access buttons and click access on the Login choice. Then you can start cracking the admin. Works for me.

I injected the login, accessed the login, did the voice verification, and then try to do the password, which I can't do. I also can't access the main menu or the admin menu, it says I need to log in first. |

To hack a different account to admin, type the account name into the username box, then use the password breakerr. It will crack the password for that username. |

Yeah, I know that. The thing is, there is no admin account, and I don't know what other account to crack. |

Thank you, that's all I was looking for. Great... Once I delete the files from the lifting server and go to take down the gateway... the gateway somehow finds the files that I deleted. I checked the lifting server again and they're not there. I think it's a bug, because I'm pretty sure I did everything right. |
