Yeah it's bugging out on me. Use denial if you got it.
Great... Once I delete the files from the lifting server and go to take down the gateway... the gateway somehow finds the files that I deleted. I checked the lifting server again and they're not there. I think it's a bug, because I'm pretty sure I did everything right. |

Filed a bug, miah said "Who said you were supposed to delete the files?" You can't edit the IPs in DNS servers, i dont have denial or know where to get it, so im stuck. |

You don't need denial. The answer is so much simpler than that. |

Yeah it is. My hint is this: Miah made this game. If it's straightforward and seems like a bug, Miah probably did it on purpose, to annoy you. A more direct hint: The files you probably deleted off of the Lifter are the same files that pretty much every system needs to boot. The place you deleted the files from on the Lifter was it's databanks. |

There are no bugs, only 'features'. |

The Bugzilla disagrees with you.

Thanks switch, finally got the hint, took a lot of crashing one server to find out exactly what i needed to do. Also cost me a router because i didnt clean up my logs properly and then fast forwarded, but with all the bank hacks, and the fact that i can finally take down that pesky gateway to get to their mainframe, I think its worth it. |

Currently, the it's impossible to disable the lifting servers in some cases. Just use denial until a patch is released. Don't worry about bugzilla, I have already filed a bug report. |

How many denial clients are you using to take out gateways/lifters? I have 15 but it just says failed and collecting clients is such a pain.

Well, I had 30 at one point at it wasn't enough to take down the lifting servers. I got it up to 38 until they finally went down, but I still couldn't take down the gateway. Currently I've currently got 52 clients online and I can take down the lifting servers and the gateway. As for collecting clients, just add a whole bunch of ISMs from the InterNIC. Only a couple have an ACS protecting them, for the rest you just need to bypass the security systems. Bypassing the ACS takes far too long, just skip those ISMs. I haven't timed it or anything, but with hotkeys, a fully upgraded gateway and such I can quite easily infest one ISM in about 30 seconds. |

Yeah that's what i've been doing but it's just kinda boring. I might just wait for the lifters to be fixed.

Yeah, that doesn't work. The gateway will pull the sysfiles out of netspace, and reboot as normal. (At least, when I tried four or five times. Besides it's easier to run Revelation on the gateway it saves a step, or two if there are dual lifters. |

By messing up do you mean crashing them? |
