Post subject:  Unable to run programs...+ a few other things
This was an interesting twist. During the story mode to eliminate Revelation, I connected to a machine to do my usual thing with Faith, when all my running programs quit and I was unable to run any (something along the lines of "not permitted to run this application"). I connected to another machine and it worked fine. Is this a new "random" twist in some situations?

Also, I ended up missing the storyline mission to hack into the mainframe because the game didn't tell me (well enough) that I had a new mission. A little extra hint may have helped. I ended up fighting Revelation (v3.0) with a v1.0 Faith. I did it, but it was a bit...difficult. :P

I also forgot where Denial was stored. I had it on my previous account (incompatible), but I cannot remember how I got it. :(

It's not random, it's caused by a system called Access Control System. Have fun trying to figure out how to bypass the thing. Somehow I managed to figure it out, and all I have to say is that the thing is pretty damn ingenious of Miah. It sure as hell beats those VDPINs and VSECs :P

how do you get around the acs server i've destroyed the server but it didn't stop the computers from not letting me run programs?

Tip: That security system is called the list for a good reason. You're not supposed to shut it down.

i finally figured out the list but is it limited in the amount of stuff you can add to it as some stuff just disappears from the list when i add to it?

Nope. Apparently you have to bypass the VSEC 3.0 and do something with the console. I have no slightest idea what that something might be, since I still haven't succeeded in solving a single VSEC 3.0 :/

I too have come accross this problem. I imagine it's a feature, because the files that get deleted are the important ones (like the bypassers/killers, trace tracker). Having said that, I do recall the trace tracker working at one point, so maybe it's about where the files actually get placed or something. Will have to keep at it...

i think its a combation as in total space used as i had bypassers pc tools password breaker and like file copier all working with trace trakcer on

Protip: Crack the VSEC, and you can freely dump 100gq's of whatever you want in there. Otherwise you're out of luck :p

And yes, I think I've finally solved the VSEC and know exactly how to completely bypass the ACS.

And yes, I think I've finally solved the VSEC and know exactly how to completely bypass the ACS.
To get to that point, one would have to figure out how to get past the "hook not found" message on the Main and Console boxes under PCForce. Not quite got that yet.
