I can't make use of the biggest modems and a few other things with the gateways in the game. Is there any other gateways I can use?

yes jsut change the 'data/def-gate.txt' under Bandwi part to 40. Code: Name, Cost, MaxCPU, MaxRam, MaxMem, MaxUpg, MaxSec, Bandwi, Width, Height, Description numgateways 11 Gateway ALPHA 15000 1 1 4 0 0 1 200 200 <blah blah blah> ^ this one here This should Solve your MAX Bandwi part and be able to use any modem. That is what I did and I got the 40 one installed. -Kethlar

Can I change the other stats also even if there is no room for it on the picture itself? So if It says 1 CPU but I change it to say 4 will I be able to buy 3 new CPU's?

You know I think it will crash, but I have never tried yet. I think it crashes form the posts i ahve seen in others places on the web, but I cant remember right. I tryed it and it seems to work. My next question is that my gateway I use doesn't let me use the biggest ram thing.

Well If you already have 1 RAM chip in there than it wont let you use another Iam sorry, that is from my experience. Only so far, but I ahve made my own gatway alredya which iam happy with and very content with. And I havent had any problems yet with it. Just saying if you cant fit another in there then that means you can only buy 1 if you bought a lower one than 128, then you are gonna have to start over with a new one that doesn have RAM and then upgrade to the one that you do want that has RAM then buy a 128. That is the best I can think of to do Iam sorry. -Kethlar

Well I only made 1 so far, since I dont want to push it yet. But if you woudl like the one I use for me it is the best. Just a variation on the Trinity One Which I like and A little bit more colourful. Yeh if you want it I will give it to you. It is for ONlink Only, the ones I have made for Uplink, well, Iam just to lazy to transferthem and kinda redo them for the RAM right now(Frainkly I wouldnt know where to put the RAM right now). Hey, I just modified the ML-100! and so far it works. I changed the last 5 mem slots to ram and updated the txt file. If anyone wants a copy of it, pm me with your email address and I'll mail you a copy of the zip. If there are any others from modlink you want modified, pm me with the request. I doubt the creators will mind, after all, they are free.
