Post subject:  Hacking a Bank in Admin Mode
Hi,

I have done a couple of the "look into an account and ..." missions and got all the money from them :).
But now there are no more missions, so i thought hey why not hack the Admin there will be a lot of account numbers and then i try all of them and drain them of there money and so on :D

But now i hacked a bank with ease but all the Account Numbers and Names etc. are in kind of Hashlike mode, but i can´t do anything with the Decypher or the PC-Tools.

So what now? Pls don´t tell me that´s a feature ^^ i would like to robe all banks :D

Well, I hate to tell you, but...It's a feature in Onlink. Miah and Tycho have made it WAY harder to rob banks.

It's already easy enough to get tons of money without the banks just handing you all the passwords.
Not to mention that by 2010 you'd certainly hope that banks aren't storing your account info in plain text. :shock:

So there´s no other way as the Missions to get to accountnumbers?

Ah Ok through hacking the computer of people, oh new idea :D gain access to the Criminal Database or Academic get the names then telefon search and ISP usw. uh ... I think i have a lot to do :D

There is another way to get account numbers through de-coding them yourself. Personally I haven't got a clue how to do it.

If you would open (hex editor would be the best way) your *.usr file(s) you can just read the accounts and their password of which bank you'd like. It just takes some time to find them.

Yeah, and I can hardly wait for the 0.2.x release when everyone's asking why X "isn't working" to find that they've been subjected to the Cage.

It's going to be great.

I can kinda get away with it now too, because many security systems are avoidable. And also the mission levels tier all the way up to grade three (veteran).

Though you will need at least a grade 8 (skilled) to start the new storyline... with good reason, though. It's not that bad, really.

Thanks for the Help so far :)

Ähm there are a lot of Buttons on the bottom, luckily i have a Widescreen ^^

But I am definitely looking forward for the 0.2.0 Release, I think this will be a real challenge not so like most of the times now it´s just too easy :)

You shouldn't, if they take the hassle to actually open their user file and such.
Why not let them hack the banks?
At least the think out of the box!

And now they can try and hack the encryption as well.

And Miah, that "Not Permitted" thing looks... interesting... at the least.
