So i've started playing 0.1.2 It's good. Until now. I'm stuck. I can't get any further. Why? Because my password breaker will not crack ANYTHING. I'm at the stage of starting to hack banks and the GDC, and in both, I can leave my password breaker running for 2 minutes, crack not a single character, and then get booted off the server for exceeding bandwidth. This wasn't in Legacy. How do I continue? Edit. Gah, got it. Didn't realise that Servers now monitor their bandwidth and I needed to bypass that. On a weird note though, I hacked 3 bank accounts on 3 separate banks, and transferred about 1mil from each to a bank account of my own on each bank. I then transferred it all to the Uplink bank. Then of course I deleted all the logs etc. Then about an hour later, each of the bank accounts I transferred from went overdrawn by the exact amount I had stolen, and each bank account I robbed got all their money back but I got in no trouble at all. What's that all about? Bug? |

RE: The bank thing: This has been touched on several times. Please use the forum's search function next time. To answer your question: All banks excluding the Uplink bank perform regular audits of all accounts. I don't know why the banks would rape your empty accounts if you had indeed cleared all transfer statements, but that's the reason why. I recommend never using an in-between dummy account or, at the very least, closing the account after you're done with it. -- Griffinhart |
