I'm going slightly mad using uplink and uplink only on linux.

Now I'm prepared to kill or better yet go on a hungerstrike to get what I want.

Please give me/us a linux version.

Why the hunger? used to run onlink on windows and got to see a great game with challenges.

that's it..

Edit: come to think about that uplink in most system files is .dat and .txt

is it the same with the onlink mod? for if it is, then it only would be to upload the file as they are and then voila! a linux version.

Or am I wrong?

We have a Linux version, but we haven't put a build up in quite a while.

Once Miah decides to actually write some code, and we get a release ready, we'll put up a Windows version and Linux version.

And a Mac, don't forget that one.

I know people are busy, but a developer blog would be interesting.

I'll ask Miah about it when he's online.

Not to bump and whine, but I have to concur. I can play vanilla Uplink just fine, but if I want to play Onlink, I have to run it through Wine, which, for reasons I'm still trying to track down, causes sound stuttering issues. A native version would, I'm sure, eliminate such problems.

Please?

See announcement (onlink progress).

It's likely I'll have internal betas for mac only, but the full betas will be for mac, windows, and linux (and released on the same day)

Speaking of which, should we have a few people recruited for internal betas for all versions? It'd be nice to not release something for which we'd have to release a fix immediately.

I guess. The internal is for a once-over of the game. You know, to make sure I didn't make something obvious break. Like missing uplink labs' cypherscreen.

Also, it would be super if you came on Skype. SUPER. DE DUPER.

Nah, I'll just give him a criminal record in Onlink: "Flipped off a box of kittens"

Wait, I think I already did that...
