I found myself doing more and more boring jobs in this game so I tried to work this VSEC puzzle out on my notepad. It is useful when the internet connection is down and maybe faster if you're familiar with this method 1.Well principles first. ok now we have a 4*4 board(Z for light on and O for light off): OOOO OOOO OOOO OOOO clearly we know the relationship btwn the following two states: OOOO OOZO OOZO OZZZ OOOO OOZO OOOO OOOO that ON AN EMPTY BOARD when we click the matching Zs in the left graph, we'll get the right state, right? Well here's the easter egg(maybe not to some of you)--this also holds in reverse--meaning that after clicking the matching Zs in the right graph ON AN EMPTY BOARD, the left state shows up! 2.ex: suppose we have a VSEC prob like this: OOOO OOZO OOOO OOZO in order to solve it, imagine to click the two matching Zs in an EMPTY BOARD, what would the result be? -- OOOO OZZZ OOOO OZZZ this one, right? actually this is the answer board--now on the VSEC screen, click the matching Zs shown in the answer board, then we'll get a empty board, bingo. well i admit that i'm kind of math geek...just hope it can help you a little bit |

For your second example, your result is wrong. I'm going to use 1 and 0 instead of Z and O, mainly because I'm lazy. Original Example: Code: 0000
0010
0000
0010
First click the topmost 1 and get Code: 0010
0101
0010
0010
Then click the bottommost 1 and get Code: 0000
0101
0000
0101 (The final result of clicking just those two 1s.)However, you're still kinda-sorta right. To solve the Example board, you would click on the following lights: Code: 0000
0111
0000
0111 just like you said.-- Griffinhart |

Hi FinalWarrior, I stated in my post that you should work it out on an imaginary EMPTY board, not the problem one. For the example you brought up, try to click the two lights in an empty board, then u'll get the result
Original Example: Code: 0000
0010
0000
0010
First click the topmost 1 and get Code: 0010
0101
0010
0010
Then click the bottommost 1 and get Code: 0000
0101
0000
0101 (The final result of clicking just those two 1s.)... Code: 0000
0111
0000
0111

Ah, I get what you mean now. The line "in order to solve it, imagine to click the two matching Zs in an EMPTY BOARD, what would the result be?" threw me off. I thought you meant clicking two lights on a board that was otherwise empty (except for the two lights). My mistake. -- Griffinhart |

The hackers in Google don't google. They think, you know. |

Or you can use the top right rule Start at the top and work your way to the right. Not always the answer but good for 75% of the puzzles. |

Does that work with VSEC? I never tried. Never bothered to, because VSEC, unlike VDPIN, limits you to a maximum of 11 clicks, and also has edge-wrapping. -- Griffinhart |

Actually that rule is for puzzles without edge-wrapping, with 100% guarantee. Not working for those of edge-wrapping feature.
Start at the top and work your way to the right. Not always the answer but good for 75% of the puzzles. |

http://www.ueda.info.waseda.ac.jp/~n-ka ... index.html " Good hackers dont think, they google ".???? Don't take me to evil but this hacker thing is nonsense, that is just a game, a program as any other one using 0 and 1. In the memory there is a vector certainly with size 64 or 128 bits, where there will be for position it activates 0001 or 00000001 forming a sequence of 64 or 128 bits, of course when visualizing that will see in hexadecimal, it fits to us to interpret what will see. example 00010001000100010001000100010001000100010001000100010001 (3 inserted zeros) 0000000100000001000000010000000 10000000100000001000000010000000 10000000100000001000000010000000 100000001000000010000000100000001 (7 inserted zeros) I admit that I didn't get to solve the problem, even after removing the limit of 11 attempts, then I tired and I filled out the positions with zeros and I passed. hacker“s google?? HAHAHAHA excuse me..... |

yes, it is that I didn't get to solve the puzzle and I was tired. |
